I think it's kinda funny how our standards have dropped over the last 25 years.

Remember Milli Vanilli, & how horrified we all were to find that they weren't the ones singing the songs?

Now, look at this autotune sh*t & tell me how different it is! THESE twits aren't singing the songs, either - the machines are doing it. How is that any different?

Horrified? I thought it was hilarious when the rest of the people caught on. It wouldn't have been such a big scandal if those asshats hadn't bragged, in their deep German-accented voices, about what great musical geniuses they were.

But, one committed suicide because he couldn't stand the humiliation of being called out as a fraud. So, that kind of undercuts the schadenfreude.

I say bring back the marching bands...THat's why we gottem isn't it? Blast wouldda kickass for half time.

Did the Black Eyed Peas play somewhere this weekend? I guess I missed it.

It would be cool to have DCI Drum and Bugle Corps champs do the half time show. I would actually watch the whole game for that. It has been 18 years since I did clinics and field drills with the Blue Devils and I still get chills from just watching them rehearse and warm up.

See this is the problem with America...The musicians that should be on the field are busy selling band candy and washing cars so that they can purchase sheet music and uniforms... There ya go.

Pisses me off that every 4-5 years they start talking about removing music & art from public school curriculum, while they build a new gym in some state school every year.

Meanwhile, they downplay the achievements of the school bands to the point that we don't even get to see them anymore, if we don't go to school games. Yes, the Superbowl SHOULD have a marching band. They're a huge part of American history, & should remain interwoven with the sports, instead of ignored & set aside in favor of these low-life wannabes who don't even PERFORM their own craft, preferring to let the machines do the work.

The fact that we would accept this crap, nay, even celebrate it, says a lot about us, doesn't it?
