The power companies are doing a "revolving brown out" turning off sections of the "grid" in fifteen minute increments.
It's closing businesses and damaging electronics.
What will these bastards do if we have a real emergency like what you guys are getting.

Everything is relative. People there are NOT used to such cold temps. My parents live in Florida and are freezing at 60 degrees. If it's forty degrees lower than what your body is used to it's FREEZING cold, no matter where you live. The storm this week was massive. I hate to see what something like that would do in May. Hundreds of tornadoes would come out of a storm that size in Spring.
