HOLY CRAP you're good. We're auditioning drummers this week. Too bad you don't live in the Kansas City area.

Yep ...

I would like to make one comment though as related to your age.
You need to be sure your work hard for long periods of time if you intend to do more than just a song or two on the internet.
( and you may already )

The reason I mention this is we had a talented young lady audition with us before we picked up Steve-o.
She played well, and even grooved well with our original material she had never heard before. Yet she lacked the physical stamina to pull off a couple hours of pretty fast tunes. As well as loosing some skin off her fingers trying to keep up.

May not be an issue for you ... but grandpa just had to bring it up. 8)

haha, thank you for the advice.
and yes, i do intend on doing more cover videos. when i play, i play for hours on end, usually from 2 and a half to 4 hours when i play. and there have been times where i've played for 6 hours straight, with a (bathroom break in between) haha.

every time i play i get more calluses and lose a lot of skin... any suggestions, besides wearing gloves? cause that doesn't always seem to work.
thanks man!

I would say calluses are good but loss of skin isn't. The areas where you have raw spots that may burn or bleed need to semi heal a bit in order to create the callus. After that you should be good to go but remember, you never want the wound to heal completely or you're right back at the start of growing your beautiful "MAN" hands

I was a drummer in most bands I played in, and I practiced all the time. Anyway, I used to lose skin on my index fingers. Wrap up the areas that get affected with waterproof adhesive tape. You'll find that some stick better than others. Of course, never put tape on a fresh, open wound.

Dale Crover always seems to be wearing gardening gloves when he plays. Not sure if that's the norm or if there's a standard that professionals use. I kinda always thought drummers wore fingerless leather ones.

If there is a "China Town" or traditional Chinese Kung Fu school in your area you could acquire some Dit Da Jow or some Iron Palm Liniment.

The Jow works best in my opinion if you can get some real Jow.
( like everything else there are shysters selling sh*t on the net to the unwary)

A little on you hands and allow to dry a couple times daily and before you play will preserve the callous and allow it to stay pliable as well.

This is good stuff. Will also heal deep bruising in 1/2 the time.
Most people have never even heard of it but the TCM doctors have been using it for thousands of years.
