#136587 by Oil Spill Event
Thu Jan 06, 2011 5:21 pm
The Ritz Ybor city Florida is looking for musicians/ bands for a charity event with proceeds to help with legislation against off-shore oil drilling and to help those financially affected by the oil spill. The event will be either April 22, 23 or 24 of 2011 depending on scheduling.
All types of music will be considered.
This venue has a capacity for about 2,000 and is in a high traffic entertainment type area with plenty of bars and clubs nearby. This event will be co-sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation.
If you are upset by the oil spill, lack of accountability and the ongoing hardships it has caused this is a great event to show it.
For any questions, further information or booking call- Jake Mills 727-408-1786. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Well, there's directly & indirectly affected, sans.

Many ppl have lost their family livelihoods that have existed for several generations, & I have the deepest sympathy for them.

I can empathize with them as well.
Been there, done that, had to change professions.

Speaking of oil spill, since the well was capped I haven't heard a damn word about it. What happened to all the oil that was supposed to destroy everything in the gulf and possible leak into the Atlantic? Is it sitting on the bottom? Has it for the most part been recovered? Or was it SEVERELY OVERESTIMATED? Just curious that's all...

The gov of Louisiana recently found out their wetland sanctuaries are fu*ked, after months of denial that anything was wrong! Oh, and BP isn't gonna clean it. A lot of the crude oil sludge is settled on the bottom, extending beyond the area covered on the surface. Sharks and other predators have moved to human populated areas because their hunting grounds are completely dead. Uh, it was SEVERELY UNDERESTIMATED, especially by BP who got caught repeatedly lying out their ass about the damage. Coastal industries along the Gulf are pretty Fu*ked too. This is going to be a big problem for a lo-o-o-ong time.

The oil spill has exacerbated an already severe, but known change in the gulf stream. They didn't tell us anything about the real damage or the changes already taking place.
You wanna know why the entire northern hemisphere is in the deep freeze right now?
Wanna know what is in store for the U.S.?
Definitely watch the entire video!

I wouldn't be surprised if they started spotting two headed seals...seriously. Thanks BP and Government inc., for leaving behind such great things for the new generation!

The Gulf floor is dead in a very large area. I am sure it will spread.
Eventually nature will take care of it.
I'd like to sink some politicians out there to help soak it up.

Is that radical hate speech ??

I hope so

Maybe everybody who sucks should be dragged along the bottom and suck up the oil. I hear that human hair is the substance that has been found to absorb more oil than any substance natural or synthetic. Perhaps we need to collect human hair at every salon and barber shop and have giant "hair ships" and "hair submarines" start absorbing the oil.

Los Angeles alone could contribute a great deal.
