I sent a message to Scratchy. We have had our differences here, but rather than air it out in the forum, I've asked him to e-mail me personally. I'm only posting this so that everyone knows-I've tried to handle this without involving everyone else. This is a public forum, and for the enjoyment of everyone here-not just a few. I'm sure that Scratchy (or Mike Nobody) will have some smart-ass b.s. response to this, but my intention is to defuse the situation.
Scratchy has reponded negatively to nearly every post I've made, and even mentioned me negatively in threads that I wasn't even involved with.
Hopefully, you folks can see that I am trying to keep the peace. I've had enough of Scratchy's b.s., (and Mike jumping in to defend him). The "ignore" button is not working for me-Scratchy was the first one on my list-and yet, he always has some idiot response to my posts.

I don't understand why people sneak off, to just continue arguing in private. It doesn't make sense to me. J-Haley PM'd me once, and it was just more of the same horseshit he spewed in the forum. Now, I've traded email addresses with some people via PM. We don't give that away to just anyone. We still expect SOME privacy. But, I generally reserve PM's for official business, not arguing with fools.

I dont intend to continue this cyber argument in my private life, as much as you would like to.

All I want is to KEEP it private, rather than putting on a public show. This forum is for the public, not for personal vendettas. I have no desire to have continued attacks upon myself being put on display. If you have some beef with me, then tell me-but do so in a manner that does not affect the rest of the members. I'd also like to be able to come hear without reading disparaging remarks about myself-even on topics that I'm not involved in.

One of Scratchy's posts from yesterday was soley to criticize my lyrics...on a thread that had nothing to do with lyrics...I l have let this issue drop, and yet, these two are the ones that are feeding it. I think, as a member here, I at least should have a right to participate without being flamed everytime I post something. The whole reason for me posting this thread was to take it OFF the forum-to let the other members know that it is not ME that is keeping this alive. Mike, Scratchy, if you guys have some sh!tty remark that you want to make, send it to me personally. Don't make it here-this isn't the place.

Well Jo, I can't speak for scratch or what his deal is. But, most of this forum has had little to do with music and is largely personal attacks. Someone will be offended, they attack, they get a reply, and it becomes a self-perpetuating argument that goes on and on to...nowhere. Certain individuals here seem to like just being assholes and that is a big part of it. I'm increasingly trying to bite my tongue if I think it is just going to escalate into more of this nonsense. But, I still have things to say if anyone wants to listen. No one is forced to read it or look at it. The ignore button is finally here for the easily offended. I prefer not to blindfold myself. But, I don't have to talk to anyone I don't want to.

Personal attacks on Cyberspace are pure fantasy. They don't mean anything. It's simply an atmospheric disturbance without disturbing the atmosphere. And it can be entertaining actually. Just pretend you're a duck and the attacks are like water, let them slide right off your body...
