I finally arrived and my PC had been upgraded to 6gb of RAM and a new video card over the weekend. Hooboy I'm flying now! I remember when PC's had 32mb of RAM. Tonight we record, provided everyone makes it to the studio.
I had a Tandy, now in the basement, that has about 1-2 megs of ram. if I remember right. I'm not sure if it is still in working order. It isn't new enough to have a 144 floppy. Those came around way later.
Does anyone remember when hard drives weren't much bigger than that? I also remember the first color monitor. This one, if I remember correctly is pretty much an almost "green & white" monitor.
Nice thing about being older is that you can see the changes in society. "Fred Flintstones" computer made a good type writer in the day. But that was about all. Now peeps pretty much have one in their hands for a good deal of the day. I suppose the next thing is a surgical implant.
Enjoy your newly updated toy. All mine are still prety slow.
