I do this once in a while...seems like a few of us have been busy musically. I'd just like to see how everyone's projects are going...Mine is SLOW but steady, might have another guitarist and drummer soon...the weather is killing me (I have an hour travel time on twisty roads and with six inches of snow, uh, I don't think so!).

Anybody else?

I tried out a couple of bands, but the Godsmack and Disturbed influences were too much for me to take.

Fishing for musicians has been getting more interesting these days. I've been in contact with more people than I ever have before. So, there's a lot of suspense as to what could come up next.

been playing with the RA from the floor above me and his brother, it's okay. On hold for the holidays, and I might be out, I'm not sure i'm heading back to that school for another semester. We'll see where I can get accepted this time of year.

We've played a lot of shows over the past few months.

Found a new used Ibanez that I LOVE for dirt cheap!! I really dig the older RGs.

We're going in the studio in two weeks to record a couple new songs, then it will be a month of more shows and off to Hawaii for our Hawaiian tour. So, I'd say we're rolling pretty good.

Slow yeah.
The boys have been sick so we've not met in a couple of weeks now.

The good side is I have the process worked out for doing customized CD,s for fans, family and friends.
Even sent a few out as gifts by request of fans to members of their family.
The thought being it will stimulate more interest / visits to our web site.

I have also been able to be more involved in my two teen age sons musical endeavors that invariably peek around the holiday season.

Been getting more work, and have the feeling that after the first of the year I may be offered the full time M-F 0645 - 1515 position.
And if not I will still get more hours at my higher PRN rate due to the retirement of my dear friend at work on the 17th.

Jeep is paid off ... but I need some wheels for George C.
Owe less than a grand on the METALSHOP and should be able to proceed ever so slowly on the light / sound stage I want to construct.

Also bout have some other loans paid off as well.

If the band gets as much work in 2011 as we did last year it could be a very good year for me and NKF despite the economic challenges.

Been practicing / learning a few cover songs every Tuesday night for the past 2 months now. Looking forward to getting a full set - we're likely going to play an art-wine festival in my area. Been a blast. Song writing? Not so much. I've been a good starter, but assembling all the parts / ligning them up with drum tracks, mixing, all that stuff - it's hard for me to take them to completion in the after-hours that I tend to use practicing.

groovin.

Way to roll Shredd !!!! I love the CD and plan on giving a bunch to freinds for Christmas. Hoping to see a Cd from NKF real soon also. You guys have really been kicking some major ass this year.

My project comes and goes just about as fast as the seasons change , but I'm still trying to get it all together. My son wants me to play bass for his band and the first gig I'll be playing is on new years day at a really big show in town. I don't know how to post a link yet [ I'm computer stupid] But they call it Graveside Manor and have a myspace page. I love playing about anything so death metal might be new to me but i'll give it the best I have.
As my projects go... ! drummer broke the ligiments in his arm last april and is just now getting back to practice a little. The other has been real sick for the last 3 months , He's a cancer survivor with throat cancer and lost his voice box. And my bass player has been on a bad kick with depresion. I feel like kicking his ass often.
Seems work is starting to pick up enough to keep the bills paid so I can't complain about that too much. And I hope to see my third grand in about 6 months.
I visit the forum daily and feel like I have a lot of friends here I hope to meet one day. Watching you bitch keeps me sane !

A dear friend that I've played with for a lot of years passed away this morning and I have a heavy heart right now. I hope everyone here will tell someone how much they mean to them and remember wew can only live for today.
Life is good so keep on ROCKING !!!!!!!!!

Slow doesn't even begin to describe it. The two guys that are "supposed" to be playing with me may as well be dead.
They have made ONE rehearsal so far... somebody shoot me please

Seems like it's slow going for a lot of people. Rough music economy?

Shredd is on a roll! Hawaii? Nice! Cd #2? Man, keep it up!

Looks like Crip is doing really good judging from his posts.

Met a guy who sings like Robert Plant had sex with Roy Orbison. He can't write, but I think I can work with it. While in NYC, ran into an old friend (fund trader) who wants to invest on some spec music. I'll let yall know how it works out.

School.
Family.
Trying to make time to write and record. It's been a long time since I've done it.

Cover band on Hiatus.

Put the cover bands on permanent hiatus. Find your voice.

Hmm well with Christmas coming up I don’t expect we’ll have much progress on my stuff. I was contacted by a progressive rock band and dig their music so I have been trying to learn their tunes. It’s not as linear as the songs I do, so I get lost at the more subtle changes. A lot M7 and 6 chords, I hadn’t realized until trying to play it, I had picked up a tendency to avoid some of those finger combinations to prevent mangling majors. On the plus side it’s opened up a few avenues on stuff I’m messing with, trying to think in another person’s shoes. The slower beat is teaching me patience and a little better cadence. I hate being a slow learner but, hopefully, eventually all the practice getting there will make it accurate. Practice, practice, practice.
