Why so negative?

You guys got it wrong again. Every citizen should have the right to vote.
Every citizen should have the right to vote Equally. In N.Y. some people have voted more than once, and now they will face charges.

We are a REPUBLIC. That means we vote for a person we feel will represent us best. We are not a true democracy were majority rules.

George and Ben and Thomas, felt it was better that we elected someone that would BUFFER and follow the general guides that got them elected to begin with.

However this also opens the door to abuse. Need I say more?

We think of things as being all swell politically back then, but washington was just as much of a flustercluck as it is today.
I found some eye opening parallels between some of the things that lincoln did and some of the things George W. did.
