Of course, the tax that might have been made on the rich would have been the difference between making $50,000/month as opposed to $47,000 a month, in take home pay...while the continued unemployment bennies only means keeping or losing one's living space...we surely don't want that kind of socialism in THIS country, do we?

There HAS to be a complete restructuring of the tax code. The income tax needs to be abolished and there should be a national sales tax of some kind. EVERYBODY should pay the exact same tax rate. Simplification of the tax code would save billions, as much as 60 BILLION dollars a year in some estimates. THAT money could be put aside for unemployment benefits, healthcare, social security, etc. We are swimming in a sea of red tape, bureaucracy, and legislation that is a BLACK HOLE for our money. That needs to be eliminated. The legislators arguing forever about income tax rates is NEVER going to get the job done. It's politics forever. We need to get the politics out of the equation and minimize the red tape and ESPECIALLY eliminate the legal mumbo jumbo that is sapping our precious hard earned money....

Huffington Post ??

Only fair tax is universal sales tax. Everyone pays!

In the globalist ideology even the poorest of Americans are the rich.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of %40 of the adult population in America are the tax support base for everyone else.

Even the government will admit that only approx %53 of " wage earners " are paying taxes.

How long do you think they can print phony money or borrow at high interest before it all goes to hell?

All the people you can catch kill and eat ... that will be your unemployment if people don't start being responsible for themselves.

Storms coming ...

Sorry, but the barter system cannot be taxed. EVERYONE would be able to avoid paying taxes, to a huge degree, if only sales were taxed...once again, the rich would be in the best position to take advantage of such an act by the gov't. since they can barter on such a HUGE scale, & the poor would carry everything on their backs.

That would seem to be the case but actually it is erroneous assumption.

All goods and most services have a point of origination.

You cannot barter that which is not in your possession.

You are all correct in some ways. The point that history and common sense business has proved time and time again is once again being overlooked by politicians concerned with control.

Even a first grader would understand that it is better to make one dollar from a million customers than put all your eggs in one basket and try to make a million dollars off one customer.

The biggest problem is the shrinking tax base. One idea is to tax it more.
Unemployment, keep handing out free money, it will be spent and stimulate the economy. This is just money going out, there are no tax dollars being earned and contributed. A V.A .T. or national sales tax will just take even more from the people that can least afford it.

J. Kennedy, R.Reagan , and even B. Clinton, came to understand the value of increasing the [customer] TAX BASE. Bush SR killed the credit card interest deduction, and immediately sent the economy in an opposite direction. HE WASN'T RE ELECTED. Why? because no one wanted to return to the 70's of extreme unemployment and extreme interest rates.

This is just present day history, any one want to talk about the tax cuts that led to roaring 20's and the tax increases that led to the GREAT DEPRESSION.

This is really about growth and expanding our economy of all taxpaying citizens. It must be done in a very forward way of thinking. It must be done in a way that looks to EXPAND the tax paying base, NOT STIFLE IT.
It must protect the average taxpayer. However even the wealthiest in this country only make up a small percentage, if you steal all their money and redistribute it today,,, you will never even pay off the interest on our national debt
That's MAJOR! DOES ANY ONE UNDERSTAND THIS!

However, we can focus on growing the economy and[THE TAX BASE] and wipe out our national debt in 10 years if we stop focusing on stealing and handing out FREE MONEY.

When 25% of the GNP goes to black opps, which is distributed to a very small group of businesses, debt for the rest of society can't be paid.

When financing to crooked wars where most of the money goes to a small group of very crooked businesses...

When rewarding a small group of very crooked businesses with the largest allotment of public money to the private sector in history, rather than prosecuting and dissolving them...

When a production based economy is seemingly overnight stripped down to a service based economy....

When a single "private" bank is allowed to control a nations money supply under a fractal monetary system...

Anyone catching the common theme here?
A small group Private businesses getting the majority of public money...

Some call it theft!

Watch the Documentary "Terror Storm" and see a glimpse of what that war is really all about, and how we are being robbed every single day that it continues!

The only reason why I'm asking is the staggering amount of misinformation being distributed by all the media, including fox.
