I've had about three offers from bands to audition since I've been here. Although, it's an opportunity, the bands just don't quite do it for me. Not that they're bad, cause they're not. I just don't see any point in putting all my effort into something I'm not fully interested in. I guess you could say I'm being a bit picky and lame.

I sort of see joining a band as a marriage at this point. I would hate to take something up only to pass up something I really wanted later on. Does that make sense?

Marriage? Huh? It's the swinging 60's baby, you can shag as many bands as you want to, yeah! You're your own worst enemy.

You're right. I'm putting too much thought into it.

I just got another offer, and I think I'm going to get on with it, I'm just wasting time at this point.

Cripes, Krul! How you gonna know what you're missing if you won't even DATE while you wait for the prefect woman?

I can guarantee you're be missing out on 1) keeping up your chops in a band situation, 2) stage time, 3) the possibility of other muso's SEEING you work on stage, & 4) having more fun with music than sitting at home.

It ain't a marriage, man! You can quit without losing your house & your retirement & 1/2 of everything you own!

Now git out there & PLAY, man!

Reading this stuff makes me feel like a kid still trying to get on a little league team. All I can think about is playing again.

Didn't you just post this the other day. Just DO IT. Go out and play with a band.

I'm convinced. Beggars can't be choosers. The band I'm trying out for is looking for members still, and is another grunge band. That was one reason I was on the fence. Who knows, maybe I'll end up playing with those 2 bands I was talking about in the other thread. That would be . Not greedy at all.
