Secondly, you seem to be unable to realize that YOU are taking a very few isolated incidents, & turning it into such a mountainous fear that you are willing to give up ALL of your freedoms just to make yourself safe from all the boogeymen out to get you!

I'm not "afraid" of being patted down or pulled over randomly... I'm offended by it!
My family didn't die in the name of freedom to hand it over because... less people are killed in the U.S. by terrorists than by lightning or home bathtub drownings.
Not to mention the tens of thousands each killed by alcohol overdose, Tylenol overdose, incorrect medicating, auto accidents. inter family murders ect. ect.

There's been MANY terror plots thwarted since 911. You're NOT going to hear about them because we don't want to tip off our enemies. Some of the plots have involved planes, some biological weapons, some chemical. Trust me. Let the government do its job. So you have to be subjected to a few minutes of being felt up. Big deal. It''s nothing you haven't done yourself...There hasn't been a major terror attack since 911, nearly TEN years after 911. I'd say our governemnt is doing a good job. I'll trade a little inconvenience for no terror attacks any day of the week. As far as bombing the crap out of some Islamic city that's EXACTLY what the terrorists want. They are looking to provoke us to MORE violence. What we have done so far since 911 is perfect IMO. We have a huge military presence over there and have killed or captured thousands, if not tens of thousands of terrorists and aspiring terrorists. I'd much rather go their funerals than they go to mine...
I think what they're doing at the airports is already out of hand. Only obvious suspects should have to take their jackets, hats, and shoes off. Not that the newest airport surveillence is working that well.

Our leaders have taken it away from the subtle, & are simply frightening Americans so that certain special interests can make $ off of our fears. I think it's all disingenuous & despicable, not to mention COSTLY for a nation that's already strained its pocket to the extreme.
I don't believe for a second that "someone got word of a terrorist plot concerning a Fla bus depot." This is indeed the next step in our freedom deprivation.
There is no need for Americans to be subjected to all of this fear on a daily basis...nor is there a true need for these types of tactics, ESPECIALLY when it's obvious, even to lay ppl, that the tactics can easily be circumvented.
How gullible do they think we are?
The most frightening thing is, listening to some of us, I think maybe they're right - we ARE that gullible, as a ppl...& that sheepishly frightened of everything, that we would simply give up all that we are for a very doubtful hope of "safety," when they won't even give us THAT. They freely admit the system they're employing doesn't work, for heaven's sake!

When dealing with extremists, I'll agree that extreme measures must be taken - WITH THE EXTREMISTS & THEIR ALLIES!!!!!!! - & NOT with the "free" ppl of the United States.
