Philby, Im not disagreeing as a businessman Im constantly getting involved with fellow business people in my area petitioning my state and national Senators and Representitives of what we need to thrive in this "global" economy. Sometimes it falls on deaf ears, but Im not a talker Im a doer. If more people would take what they have to say to people that can do something about it, then change will happen. I dont really think trying to amaze people on bandmix with my political intellegience goes anywhere.

I could write pages on here of things I do, but whats the point? half the people here wouldnt agree with my point of view anyway.

You have to vote and stick to your convictions in regard to the world you live in, and that means getting your hands dirty in the process that everyone on here seems to hate.

Run for public office. I did. It's not that hard...except getting through the thick skulls of people who should actually support you. :?

I held public office for 8 yrs Mike in our local county. My business partner is vice mayor of the town our office is located in. Believe me Im up to my neck in politics. My grandfather served in state politics for 42 yrs. In the 60s he walked with blacks marching on segregating schools, My son is 18 and really wants to become president one day.

Im trying my best where I live.

Well so far the "Global Economy" has provided us with:

NAFTA - the end of our production based United States economy.

The Kyoto Agreement = Worldwide Tax on carbon (the poor)

Sustainable Development via Agenda 21 = plan includes the elimination of all private property.

The World Health Organization = empowered to declare a global pandemic allowing the over riding of any or all National Constitutions by law.

Global surveillance
Global Policing
Global threats

I think things were much better when our noses and arms were confined to our National Borders!

I underestimated the significance of purely symbolic gestures. You can agree 100% with some folks positions and they'll still turn against you, because they just don't like you.
