Hey wait a minute, using this model, develop a gigantic version of this that creates enough friction to produce elctricity. You'd have a perpetual machine that never needs an input of fuel and have endless electricity. THere's aquaducts at the top of the Andes mountains that were built by the Incas? where water is continually sent UPHILL. Scientists today can't figure out how it works. Perhaps this is something similar.

I don't think the ancient Incas had batteries. We can't figure out how their aquaducts STILL work today, just as we cannot even hope to duplicate the exactness of the Pyramids that were built THOUSANDS of years ago. Ancient peoples knew a lot more than we think they knew. Think what's been lost over time...some of the American Indian tribes had cures for cancer...think what's been lost over time...

Also had batteries. ( not sure about the Inca ) but the ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamian used an acid chemical battery to metal plate some of their art work.
Archeology found some clay jar batteries.
My thoughts are that though the ancients had less of what we consider technology. They were masters of what they did have.
Closer to the origination of the gene pool. I suspect a much higher average intellect and due to living in the reality of life or death nature.
Also much greater motivation.
