I dunno, sans. In my experience, a coward can be far more dangerous on many more levels than a man with a backbone. They gotta be more creative just to survive.

Uh, excuse me?

your first image doesn't work.

and who says those aren't also narrow, selective views of a religion used as justification for hate?

Look, I'm not going to sit here and defend christianity's issues in the past (crusades, inquisitions, and the such) because those positions are indefensible.

As a christian, I live my life as an example, turning the other cheek and trying to find non-violent solutions in every problem. Even if someone does something I don't agree with, I look past their flaws and differences and see another person underneath, and I love them for it. That is what I believe christianity is about.

I don't know what doesn't work.

As far as "justification for hate," it is ACTIONS and INTENTIONS I am opposed to. The religion is just, as you say, a "justification for hate."

Unfortunately, it isn't all in the past. Many self-described Christians interpret their faith differently than you do, and use folks like you to shield themselves from criticism.

EVERY positive thing about Christianity does not require accepting Christianity as the whole truth. Many of the negatives DO. Also, the bottom line is, "what is the truth?"

Christianity is about the GOSPEL.
The free gift of salvation.
Nothing more.

To add or subtract from that message is not Christianity.
Though many would say so ... they are but placing stumbling blocks in front of their brothers and sisters, and wandering in the darkness.
