Verrrryyy nice. It seems like I should know this song but I don't. King Crimson is a familiar name...what else have they done?

King Crimson is the preeminent prog rock band of all time. This song was from their first album released in 1969. They skillfully blended elements of rock, jazz and classical and produced many great albums but were not a commercial success. I'm going to record a cover of their song "Red" in a few weeks.

Starless and Bible Black is a classic. "Lament" was great.

The first time I saw Crimson was in 1974 when they were touring to support "Starless and Bible Black". Robin Trower opened for them; it was at the Ford Auditorium, where I also graduated from. I just heard it's scheduled to be torn down.

I know that I should know them, yet no songs are ringing a bell. I like the name King Crimson.

Aside from "Court of the Crimson King" and "21st Century Schizoid Man" I can't think of anything that got any airplay.

Absolutely Mike, which is why us Crimzoids love 'em even more.

When Crimson reformed with Adrian Belew they became much more popular, and of course are more popular overseas than here. Music for the thinking man thankfully goes right over most heads.
