I agree! I think I'll avoid these threads as well. Some times I think I am playing a game of Chess when visiting these threads. A certain person seems to want to take my king at every post! When I started it I meant it in a positive way. I am starting to wish I hadn't!
People I admire? Got a week?
I guess Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Robin Williams, Ian Anderson, George Harrison, David Gilmour would have to be on my list...guys who can play much better melodic guitar than I can...OK I don't know if Einstein played guitar at all, but some of the ideas he developed were tremendous. Ian Anderson not for guitar, but for such incredible songwriting, and the ability to play a ton of instruments quite well. (Keyboards, flute, bass, drums, guitar, mandolin, violin, numerous wind instruments...) And he's recorded several Jethro Tull songs completely by himself, Fat Man to name just one. Robin Williams for being so incredibly spontaneous. He did the entire Mork and Mindy show with no script, all ad lib. He's also pretty intelligent...I guess I also have to add the most intelligent scientific mind of our time, Carl Sagan. Without him we would never have put a man on the moon. He and Arthur C Clarke are the ones that came up with things like Tang, an ink pen that can write in zero gravity, freeze dried food...and many many other inventions, without which extended space travel would be impossible. (I think it was Clarke, may have been Issac Asimov, but I think it was Clarke.)
And most of the folks on here, just for being such good folks.
Oh and thanks for adding me J-Haley...
I'm not worthy I'm not worthy...
