The original point of my post was just to point out an observation I'd made while researching for business opportunities.

Had not to do with politics really, just the oddity of there being so many jobs available with such a high unemployment rate being cited.

I have worked Union before, ( Oil Chemical And Atomic Workers) and have to agree with Mike Nobody on a point.

Promotions had nothing to do with ability, only seniority. And people whom would have been fired under any usual circumstance were constantly being retained despite their being totally useless as an employee.

I noticed that same thing. THere are job openings everywhere. Everyone in my family has a job...we're broke as h*ll but we have jobs. We have a savings...barely. We have health insurance. Personally, I will never be unemployed without choosing to be so.

More than unemployment insurance, we need Cost of Living Allowance (C.O.L.A.). It is absurd for people to struggle with two or three jobs and not get ahead. Places like "Mall-Wart" have employees still requiring government assistance to live. That's crazy. It is subsidizing corporations indirectly. If ignorant f**k s like Glen don't want people to "steal" his taxes (of which, Wall Street and the Pentagon steal the most) then demand people be paid enough to not NEED government assistance. Demand full employment, instead of forcing people to fight for scraps.

Communism is dead. "Capitalism" is next. Good riddance.

George, if I had my way he would be kicked out of Congress but they have their own rules. But there are many crooks in politics on both sides of the isle. Yet the thieves on Wall St did more damage to our country than any politician.

I need a job like that! I keep writing myself in for it, but nothing I do seems to work!
