I use 7/4 and 5/4 extensively in my song writing. I try to use different time signatures and key changes to make things interesting for me and the audience. I think you have to be careful and it all comes down to artistry to make the whole composition cohesive. Too much of signature (tempo and pitch) changes can throw off the audience. I hope that makes sense.

This is where it will get difficult for me. Stuff I'm doing and will complete soon, is all over the place, but with a general hard core timing in parts.

I know this will sadden most of you too. I've dropped the click track. Marvellous thing of course, but I find it holds me back.

Pink Floyd, for one.

What was "Money" in? Like, 6/14 or something bizarre like that?

The best time signature is the time when a signature goes on a recording contract.
