The REAL question nutfucks like that should ask is, "Why don't the jobs around here pay anything worth a sh*t?

Apparently he'd rather be someone's slave than allow anyone else to collect that SOCIALIZED unemployment check.

What's hilarious is this dude's voting in the very party who wants to get rid of his unemployment. Obama was the one that extended unemployment benefits.

This morning it was reported that the GOP's number one priority is to keep Obama from getting a second term.

Really? What about helping America? Yoo hoo, remember us? We need jobs, lower taxes for businesses so they'll stop opening up businesses in other countries, inspire people to get jobs, get the economy straight and keep us from sliding into a third world status. I mean, thanks to us, India has a middle class now, meanwhile, we're losing ours. What a joke!

Noo, they want to block everything that Obama will try and do regardless of whether it's good or bad for us. Look, I don't agree with everything's Obama's done, but since we have him for another two years here's the stick, I'm still willing to give the guy a chance to do something right, but then there's these guys who just want to take him down. You wanna hear something crazy? I've mentioned it on Facebook a couple of times.

When the last extension was approved, it was only approved for people who haven't had a job at all. Even if you had a part-time or experienced long layoffs, you didn't qualify. If you had a part time job making $20 a week you didn't qualify.

So although there were people who legitimately couldn't find jobs, there were a TON of other people who simply sat on their asses collecting for the past couple of years.. And they qualified.

If it wasn't for the band I'm in right now, I'd be homeless, and I have a job. I just experience LONG layoff periods. So far this YEAR I've made just over $4,000 from my construction job. I had a reported $800 earnings at the end of March. As a result, all of my benefits were taken away. No extension. Over the course of the initial crash, I was only allowed 2 extensions because I was still working. People who sat on their asses collected 4 or 5.

I've tried finding another job, but since technically I do have one right now, companies aren't hiring someone who already have a job. The #1 question I get asked "So you're looking for a second job right now?" I can say no all I want, but I never get called for a second interview. I just can't give up the one I have now, or else I'll be giving up even that little bit I do make from time to time from it. It's freaking crazy and frustrating.

It's all just one big scam and a joke.

As far as help wanted signs go, I'm not impressed. My old factory job left that thing out all year every year, whether we needed people or not. And DID NOT HIRE A SINGLE BLACK PERSON in 50+ years of business. Also, I watched them discriminate against hiring a woman, something else they didn't do, except for ONE secretary.

Unemployment bennies are INSURANCE, ppl. It's a part of your paycheck, which goes into the fund. If you keep your job, you don't need them. If you lose your job, that's what they're there for!

Are you gonna let 'em take away your health insurance, too? Your life insurance?

Do you know what I did when I couldn't find a job in the oil bust of the 80's I put ads in the paper and was working the next day. The government couldn't find me a job and I couldn't get welfare because my skin wasn't the right color. Folks you can't set on your ASS waiting for someone else to do it for you GET OFF YOUR ASS and do it for YOURSELF you can do it! Bigger government and higher taxes is not the answer.
