I realize that it's probably not just me, or that its just in school, BUT WHY ARE THERE SO MANY USELESS PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD? Me and a couple of my friends were going to go see the Blackest of the Black concert on Halloween. You know, Danzig, Moonspell, and whatnot BUT NO! stupid immature lazy little bastards f**k it up! whats the point in even trying to go if we cant get anything organized in the first place? We had no ride, Tyler and some other guy didn't even have tickets, I was the only one whe knew EXACTLY when the concert was, and the worst part was THEY DIDN'T EVEN CARE! what a waste of time and money, i hate high school.

It does not change at all when you grow older my young friend. It is not just " high school ".

Seek to surround yourself with thoughtful, competent, and reliable people.
Forget the rest.
Move along, move along.

Enjoy your four year stint in high school. Those will be the most innocent days of your life.

Go find some girls man...you're wasting time. 8) :P

I disagree. Women can mess up your life worse than drugs. I've seen it happen. I say learn as much as you can NOW while your brain can absorb maximum data NOW. When you get to my age it gets hard to remember anything. Concentrate on your studies, get whatever degree you desire. Go after the women when you have a great job and $$$. Wish I had done that when I was your age...

Innocent? Either you had a really sheltered life or I got an extra slice of Hell! f**k High School. f**k those people.

And if you like high school you'll love WORK. The people don't change much after high school and the bullshit just smells a little different.

Sheltered? Oh hell no. I meant innocent as in having the joy of not knowing about what bullshit it is to be an adult. Adults grow into bigger assholes unfortunately.

I barely graduated, but thankfully I got a diploma from a continuation school.

I didn't mind being an outcast, but I minded being around the people that outcasted me.

Going out with girls in high school is easier because you don't have to meet all these financial requirements...etc. Plus, you don't have to deal with the beauracracy of dating, which is the most superficial, cutthroat, bullshit scene there is.

ALL schools suck. Learn what you can & get the hell out. Then you can go to ANOTHER school that ALSO sucks. Then you can go out & get a job, & that, my friend, REALLY sucks! Then, when the economy goes to hell, you'll lose that job, & wish for the good old days in that sucky school of yours.

Ain't life GRAND?!?!?! All you can do is deal.

All that pessimism can't be healthy. Don't you have anything to tell us youths to look forward to?

You can choose your surroundings a lot more and who you associate with.

This song always cheered me up:

My high school years pretty much sucked. Perhaps I was an awkward teenager. Whenever I had a chance I skipped school and fished. Still got mostly straight A's, made the honor roll and National Honor Society. I guarantee I was the most aloof Honor Society kid ever in high school. I was constantly asked to participate in this and that, told'em all I was busy. I couldn't stand ceremonies so much I didn't go to my high school graduation, went fishing instead. My parents didn't mind, but my teachers DID. Apparently they thought it was THEY who got me through high school. What got me through high school was music and fishing. If I didn't have these two outlets I would have done some serious drugs. Never did drugs, never drank, just sports (playground basketball mainly) fishing, and music. I was infinitely happier in college, way better teachers (professors) and much more interesting student body. Hopefully when you go to college you'll like it better too...

When you are given advice, consider the source. Do not allow people to project their inadequacies, failures or pessimism onto you. Cynicism is a choice.

Emulate happy, successful people. Ask yourself: are they blissfully ignorant, or are they the really smart ones?

Stay centered. You are a spiritual person. Never let the world drive a wedge between you and your faith.

You have many great things to look forward to. Love, marriage, children, accomplishment, music, friendship; the list is as long as your ability to create it.

I think Phil's point is well taken; school does suck but it's necessary because the world does suck. It's how you overcome its failings that determines your happiness. Aim high, never quit and realize your life is a miracle.

Oh, 90db! Ya cut me to the quick! I thought we were, like, good buddies, too!

All I'm saying to the tykus is to quit the whining & deal. Everything sucks, if you have that mind set.

Personally, I've liked a helluva lot about just about every period in my life, cuz I tried to live in the moment. When the moment sucks, I think about the near future. When the near future looks sucky, I think about something good in my past.

Yeah, I bitch a lot, but mostly it's for comedic affect. I try not to take life too seriously, cuz it tends to suck when ya give it too much power over you.

Your HS years are s'posed to be some of the best you'll ever experience, in many ppl's minds. Are you wasting them with a crappy attitude? Are you too dependent on the actions of others to make them worthwhile?

When you depend too heavily upon others for your good times, then yeah, you'll discover that most ppl are useless time-wasters, cuz each of us has our own agenda, & 99.999999% of the time, it ain't gonna match up with your expectations or desires. Get used to it.

Only YOU can make your life meaningful or fun or content. Others can only make it worser, if you don't improve your overall approach to life.

In closing, when life gives ya lemons, pucker up, baby, cuz it's gonna be sour as sh*t, unless ya add a bit of sugar!
