You gotta deal with openers getting of stage in time instead of chewing up your time.
If you don't get to chose the openers, they can kill a crowd pretty quick. Not that everyone will leave that want to see you, but the spirit will be sapped out of em.
The more bands on the lineup, the more time for something to go wrong because of idjits and dumb club management. For example, people tearing up the club or something and the club people cancelling the show.
If the schedule runs behind for external reasons, you can end up going on really late at night. Even if you are the shiznit, a crowd of overly lubed-up people ready to pass out and go to sleep is never good.
I alwayd preferred to start in the 930 to 1030 time frame. Maybe 1100.
If you are technically the headliner but dont have to play last, then yeah it's cool.
