This gets at the heart of why you play. To make money? For personal satisfaction? To leave some trace of your art for after you're gone? Or in your case because you love big boobies? You must answer this question before you can find musical fulfillment grasshopper.

Well Crip from what Ive heard that you do, its all covers anyway. So if you gonna do covers then why not get paid to do it. If the guys let you inject your own leads into the songs then show them how its done.

I agree with Jimmy and Prevost, you got a decision to make.

Good Luck

Oh, I know they do... They play all over the place in my nec-o-the woods... They never play with any other bands hence the reason I would hafta learn a ton of tunes... they do 3 sets a gig and like to change it up each gig... believe me...they ARE busy... It's just that some of the tunes are soo not me and I'd actually have to change the settings on my amp for some of them as they are soo different in nature from what I've been playing all these years! They didn't even think twice about hiring me but I'll learn a few of the one's I don't like and see how it goes over with them this weekend..

LOL ... that last comment make me squirt coffee through me nose ..

Playing 1- band - 3 sets is where the money is Crip ... only time I ever play with other bands is at a festival ....

Oh ... and a little trick for songs you don't know that well and you have to do an intro ... get a MP3 player (or phone) with a internal speaker ... load all the songs on it and have a quick listen (couple bars) to get you going ....

Good luck

I used to swear I'd never play "sell out" music. Then.. I turned about 35 and spent the next 5 years making more money than I ever realized possible playing that crap in a local band.

It's not the dream gig.. but it was still fun. Need to get back to doing it!

Already been there and done that stuff, Crip. In a biker band called "Chrome". I'm all about original music and nothing else at this point, but if you guys play that stuff at the right venues...it'll go over big time. Trust me. I see it all the time...no matter where I'm at. Great tunes for gettin' people to hit the bar and produce more "cheese" for you. Good luck brother!!!

Your not filling shoes ,think of it as brining something new to the group.
I't my not be what you usually play, but you'll pull it off and bring you distinct style that says here I am and this is what i got.
good luck
