This is a "General Chat" subject line. If you don't want to read it, go elsewhere.

@ Krul:

Where was the Garden of Eden (what continent)? When did this event happen? How long was the garden in existence before Adam and Eve?

Or are all the stories in the Bible merely allegories meant to teach morals and not to be taken literally?

Jimmy, I honestly don't know where it existed. The Garden of Eden was created for Adam and Eve to to take care of. That's all I know.

Kruliosis wrote:People cannot see God because of what happened in the Garden of Eden. Moses had to veil his face from God when given the Ten Commandments. But, what's the point of going any further with this if you don't believe in what the Bible has to say. I challenge you to open up the Bible at a random page and start reading with an open mind. That's what I did and it changed my life. Before that, I hated Christians and really questioned how you could possibly find a God you can't see. My question eventually got answered all right.

Why do you need eyesight to know someone is there anyway?

Be very careful about talking about priests. The Hispanic community takes offense to this kind of thing...trust me on that.

Please continue to read it. ALL of it. If there's something you don't understand, read it again.

My guess is that you were getting desperate when you converted. Religions have a way of preying on the young and weak.

This is a subject, I think, that people bring strong opinions into. Getting offended by this subject may be inevitable in some ways. I opened up a new thread for the brave at heart who can avoid taking it personally. I don't know if there's a way here to make a thread "private."

Now, there is no argument that can disprove the existence of God. Personally, I have seen more than enough of His miracles to be convinced he does exist.

Did I say Christians support child molestation? Who's making the wild claims here?

As for his "miracles":

I said skated the line, not that you said they did. Read what I wrote, not what you want me to have written. It makes your attacks a lot harder.

As to the miracles, I find good in EVERY situation, not just when life is going well. Every day, I think God for the good, and pray for help with the bad. I'm not angry at the end of a bad day, I pray about it and go to bed hopeful for a better day tomorrow.

A pointless argument.
I know God. I don't have to be convinced. I cannot be swayed from the knowledge I have been granted through the Spirit.
Though many demons try daily.

I won't convince others. It's not my jhob man.

My job is to share the news of salvation as a free gift though the blood of Jesus Christ.
For those whom receive the Spirit comes knowledge of the Father.
And the Spirit will grow their faith, and their faith will be tested.

To consider that my actions are any more than just the casting of seeds is arrogance.
Faith come by the spirit, not by me.
Salvation though the blood of Christ, not my words, or by works.

I vote for kindness, if you should happen upon another being who needs help?
God sure will tell you stuff no matter who he is to you?

Bottom line is. Be you, be real. Games are for pursers. You don't have to be anything to help a fellow person in need, furthermore, you don't need a gun or bomb in the name of anything to prove you care.

Matter closed.

sans, you are the epitome of what a christian can be, imho. You don't browbeat. You try your very best to live by example. You don't delve into petty arguments, or try to force your way of thinking upon others, while you can certainly live & let live without belittling the beliefs of others.

You da man, man!

Thank you for being.

Phil, I just know that I'm one sorry mother f**k who's been give a second chance ten or fifteen thousand times.

Only my perspective is unique I think because I realize my fight with my own personal demons daily.
And all too often lose.

I see the beauty of the free gift.
And want to share.

I'm not really an atheist. I don't know if there is a god or not, and I don't mean to offend anyone's religion.

But my problem is with the ridiculous religions out there that make a mockery out of reason and my fear that so many decent people believe the most ridiculous ideas. And I get angry for the fact that if they didn't believe them the world would be a so much nicer place to live.
But it seems the stupider the idea the more people feel the need to express them.
And I can't believe the elaborate manufactured ideologies spun around the idea of a god. And the anger and hate spewed for just questioning the craziness....

It's just all too much.....

Then stfu and quit banging on the glass, unless you want to swim with the inhabitants of the tank du jour, mfer.

If you had a half a brain you'd shut your mouth before you need dental work.
