I'm very happy tonight.

I just watched that twit Brock Lesner get himself TOTALED by Cain Velasquez, in the 1st round.

I'm not really into watching sports, but the wife loves watching the UFC. I've seen Lesner flip the bird at his opponents AND the audience. So it was especially gratifying to see him get his face busted up in the very first round.

I really hate poor sportsmanship, & a bad winner makes me even hotter under the collar. Lesner was certainly that.

He's a wrestler not a boxer and you've
got to be both to stay on top.

Is he? I thought he was just a freak of nature in the form of a veritable MOUNTAIN of a human being!

I giggled like a schoolgirl when he went spinning like a top across the floor, though!

Lesnar sucked..always did. He feels that the world owes him something.

I never liked that guy, he's a real creep.

I felt bad for Tito, being that he got owned by that jackass Matt Hamill.

I bet Tito might quit, being he was gassed halfway through the match.

He's fought like that since '06, Cap. He can't fight past the 1st round.

I was hoping to see Liddel get a final chance at him...mostly cuz I love to see both of them get all beat up.

I think Liddel's done. I hope Tito is.

<>?

What about all that hype about his high altitude training on BEAR MOUNTAIN?

That crap works. I bet he just plain forgot to breathe once the fight started, seen it, been there before myself.

Losing because you're gassed has to be the worst way to lose.

Lesnar is a very powerful man. That's about it, no real martial skills I have observed.

I've not seen many of Cain Velasquez's fights but he seems well schooled, and disciplined.

Tito Ortiz was an animal in the early years of UFC, but he no longer has what it takes to compete on this level.
Always thought him a prick too.

I don't enjoy the UFC near as much as I used too. The organized crime influence is all too evident in any "decisions" left up to judges.
Don't know how much influence they exert on the fighters themselves.
Though I have seen some questionable "thrown fights" as well. Could just be someone having an off day. It happens.

One thing is evident though. You cannot afford any decision to go to the "judges". You want to win. You got to finish your opponent before the bell rings.

there were some great fights last night, though!

I have seen a few questionable decisions by the judges, & I'm at a loss as to how they reach them, sometimes. The only real Q's I have about it all is the way they choose who gets to fight, & with whom.

Lesner shouldn't have even had a chance to try for the belt until he'd proved himself a bit more, imho. FOUR fights, & he vying for the belt? That's just dumb! I wish Mir had kicked his butt the last time they fought.

And frankly, though he's undefeated, I think only 8 pro fights is far too few for a chance at the belt, too, for Velasquez.

It does seem a bit contrived at times.

Yeah I love a good fight too.
Contrived ? The Cosa Nostros leaves nothing too chance.

'Twas also good to see Diego Sanchez come back so strong.
