Oh and thanx for the compliment and no, the person that made the comment cannot bring me down, you have to be realistic in this business and know you are not going to appeal to everyone but with every knockback something better usually comes along anyway..Well it did for me...Eventually lol

Too true. I have learned over the years how to glean constructive criticism and I think I've gotten much better at it. The sad fact is, some will advance criticism only because they want to try and bring you down - because of some hole they feel in themselves (I'm really not a shrink, but I play one on TV...). So, I ignore that stuff. The best criticism is the stuff that helps you truly overcome a problem. We should always be open to that.

Yep constructive critisism is always good I'm all for that, tis how we improve but a tad difficult to deliver if you are dealing with 'sensitive souls'

good job lady rocker...trust me you can sing and you have a nice solid natural tone,its a nice change to hear someone who can sing and is still a little bit unsure of themselves, instead of the ones who cant sing a note and think there the feckin bomb(how many of those are on this site)...you should be happy with your lot...go for it...the best thing ive discovered is to take critic with a pinch of salt if it good or bad,if it feels good and your relaxed and positive you will know you doing right, if your outside you range or you clam up, you dont need someone else to tell you its wrong YOU should know its wrong...

Well LadyRocker .... not sure if this is defense or not lol ... but I would say you insulted yourself first .... being that you auditioned for "Backup Vocals".

The last thing I would do is downgrade you to "backup vocals". You have excellent lead vocals..... you "MUST" be in a small town if your having trouble getting a band behind you.
