Songs 2 and 3 Not the cover:
I am only sayin' this just to be on the picky side of things. Yea, sure the songs are not perfect but still damm good.
I don't know alot about country, ...not that I'm any kind of expert...but it sounds more americana folk/rock to me...kinda like the bastard love-child of Steve Forbert and Brian Wilson!
Guitar sounds very bright to me, with not a huge amount of bottom end.
I'd like to hear the verse melody developed a little more, but my main feeling about the tunes is that the chorus sounds more like a pre-chorus to me...I kept expecting a big major chord hooky chorus to come in after that.
Both songs got the makings of an excellent tune, the achingly wistful voice and the general listenability, but I reckon the addition of a chorus, or maybe just a bridge section in the middle with a different chord structure, could help take the songs a notch higher.
"If you can't stand behind our troops, stand in front of them." "The West was not won with a registered gun."
"No law ever prevented a crime."
