Well, if it's not burned hands, then I guess it's burned relationships. :-(

Lee Anne and I are divorcing.

I'll be moved out tonight.

I feel as alone, as I ever have in life. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated, very much.

This truly sucks Craig. I hope you have tried counseling, but in my experience usually one of the two don't want to go. This will be a difficult period in your life, surround yourself with as many friends and family as you can and remember that in time most of the wounds will heal, but there will always be a scar. Best of luck and stay in touch.

Thank you guys. So very much.

I was married 7 years ago, and became a step-father to 3 children. I built my life around them, for this past 7 years, and as a consequence, lost touch with most of the friends I had at the time. So... amazingly enough... you guys are the bulk of my friends now, and yet... I only know you all ONLINE! But even still, right now, from where I sit... I AM PRETTY DAMN GRATEFUL to have your friendship.

Thank you all, for the support!

Take your friends wherever you find them. This will also give you a chance to reconnect with old friends. 7 years is a long time but in the scheme of things it's just a blink. You will discover more about you in the next year than you really wanted to know but go forward anyway.

Hopefully if its to be you can get yours done quickly and move on.

Wow Craig so sorry to hear this. I have been thru this twice already and I hope I never have to go thru another divorce again. I can say that I learned more about myself going thru each divorce ( a lot of soul searching) and a few songs written. The thing that helped me thru it was MUSIC! Hang in there Bro. during these dark times and know that when one door closes another ALWAYS OPENS!

My guitar will never leave me or do me wrong!

Sorry for your loss bro, but happy for your gain (your self) and hoping the personal growth is the reward for your time... no time is wasted time, if you learn something from it!

Hi Craig,

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been through one, but it didn't involve kids so it was easy financially, but hard emotionally. We had been together five years. We always stayed friends.

My husband's divorced and we still deal from time to time with his dragon lady, and my boss is going through one, so I've been talking to him. In fact, I've been through like four male friends and their divorces.

I don't think you need counseling as much as you need friends to stand by you and be there for you. I've had a therapist for years and honestly, therapists are good for some things, but friends are better for others.

My best advice is to try and keep it as amicable as possible, at least for the kids' sake. I see and hear so many hateful things go on and it's all over money or stupid stuff. This isn't to say you shouldn't stand your ground because I don't agree with many of the laws that the woman should get most everything while the man is left destitute and screw him. I just don't like that. Sorry, I've seen too many woman having a ball with the kids while they take their vacations, spa trips, shopping and all, then go and whine to the husband about how they're so destitute and need more money. That's not right. I never asked for anything from my ex-husband, and in doing that, he gave me what he wanted which was more than I expected.

If you'd ever like to hear things from a woman's side, I'm here if you want to talk. My e-mail is chaeya@yahoo.com.
