Agreed, who does the art work on your posters?

Bob, I seem to remember Kerry saying his wife does this for a living.
Commercial artist possibly.
She does a great job.

Yes.. My wife does most of the bookings as well as all the art work.... she was a graphic designer but is now a web designer... She was super busy though this week and on these last 2 posters, she just took our old ones and just changed the dates and places...

They are great formats Crip. No reason to not "recycle".

Maybe she can design a poster for the blues band I'm in and later on when I get an original act together, which I'm working on...

Uh-oh.... might hafta find a bassist as everytime I book a gig, my bassist has a gig with one of his other 3 bands... not a happy camper at the moment as we really put a lot of effort into this project.....also my drummer is in quite a few projects so he has quite a few dates that I can't book.... I need musicians that are only loyal to this band... doesn't make for a good rep when I hafta keep turning down requests due to the fact that other band members have other obligations. Not fair to me as I hustled quite a few venues only to decline the offers! :(

I totally understand Crip, our singer has hernia so we are very limited.

Me and the bassist have talked about starting a side project that does disco dance music to try and make some real money, dont know if I want to put the work into it or not.

Actually did an impromptu deal at a MX track this past weekend for a few hours it was cool.

I agree your poster look great, I dont know if I would want to run into you guys in a dark alley!

Rock ON!

Thanx, JW.... nothing more frustrating that putting many hours and many ads to try and acquire the perfect musicians for my venue only to have to keep turning down, or even worse, canceling gigs due to other band members' itinerary. We now got asked to do New Years Eve at an awesome club which is only minutes away from my home which makes it even harder now to make any changes as we do have a few sporadic gigs we have to honor or we will definitely be black listed. My hands are tied at the moment but be rest assured there will be changes made after New Years!

Crip, when I was booking and that situation would arise I would just tell the club owner/booking contact sorry but we are playing a private party on that date, what other dates do you have. It works great! I wouldn't tell them about the conflicts they don't need to know those details. Also when you are busy it just makes them want you that much more.

True...but it's not fair to the vocalist and I who want this to remain our only project... Call it being selfish but I want my band to be able to play every gig I can book as does my singer.... The other 2 guys have crazy scheduling with their other bands and it's really not fair to my project!
