Thats how Europeans that want to succeed do it.
I'm not going to apologize Phil. I am tired of any one comparing AMERICA to any European governmental model in any way shape or form.
I know his name is Dean , not Ciao. Europe has only proved over and over that all they know how to do is open the doors for great leaders like ,hitler, stallin , and in the east ,mao, and pol pot. Thank God we have two oceans separating us from that kind of sh*t.

As far as me complaining or whining about anything,I don't think so. If sharing real sh*t that can happen is a problem... Sorry I am not sticking my head in the sand. I hope you are not either because Jace is to precious.

Amazing but there are so many Europeans that still want to become legal citizens of our country.

Dean's got some great music up,,, he also has some political ideas that don't fly with me. Who are you to basically tell me to STFU. Hasta la vista!

"Who are you to basically tell me to STFU."

You mean you don't KNOW who I am? I AM PHILBY HEAR ME ROAR! LOL

I'm just the guy who points it out when you get all combative over stuff for no reason, Glen.

I've seen you go off on ppl simply for being Canadian, of all things, like it was a huge sin or something, to be so geographically challenged. You seem to forget that this is an INTERNATIONAL forum. If you want to exclude all extra-national influence, stick to the USA forum, & stay out of the General one.

Glen, the sharing of different ways of doing things is how things get improved. Sometimes things ARE better elsewhere. Sometimes they aren't. You don't know until you delve into it.

You, however, seem to be such a complete xenophobe that nothing could possibly get through, once you hear that anything comes from somewhere else. Once you hear of a country of a region of the world other than the USA, it seems like all your reasoning powers just shut down immediately, & your hackles raise & your claws extend. Do try to remember that nearly all of the ideas that made this country great have come from somewhere else, some other form of gov't, some other society, & were adapted to our needs. We are never going to be so complete that we couldn't improve upon that which we have.

I get it. You fear for the USA. You let your fear rule you in every issue that seems to come up, & lash out inappropriately at ppl for truly bizarre reasons known only to you, sometimes...no...make that OFTEN.

I could see you going off on me for mentioning that in Jamaica, they mix hot peppers with allspice, cuz that ain't how things are done in America. Then you'd prolly go off on a rant about your taxes & the socialist dick-tater in office & those damned Jamaican illegals &.... Sometimes you honestly seem that irrational to me, when it comes to how things are done elsewhere.

But aside from all that, you still haven't explained how the OP was either 'on your back' or was a "hard ass" OR a 'problem' to ANYONE, as you so delicately put it in your response on his thread. You were upset about things that hadn't been said or done.

You were unjustifiably rude. I called you on it. I tend to do that. It might piss you off, but I don't see me changing anytime soon.

Hope you've calmed down a bit, but I doubt that we'll ever see things the same way. That's unfortunate, but I can accept it. I'll still call you out when I think it's called for, though, when you go over the top at someone.

You're certainly allowed to voice your opinions, but don't expect us all to sit still while you try to scare ppl off when you disagree with them. I think the Stranger guy is an asset to our forum, & I like his music. I'm not gonna join your hate brigade just cuz he brought up a subject that you don't like. I suspect that you have run off other quality ppl, especially those from Canada, by going so far as to chase them into the Canadian forum & bitching them out. You were wrong to do that, too, imho.

You can hate me for saying these things if you wish. I like you, Glen, but you don't own this forum any more than any of the rest of us do. Quit trying to run ppl out for being different than you.

I'll make no apologies for my love of America.
I have no problem discussing " alternate ways " of doing much of anything.
I do have an issue of my friends and family dying to keep Europeans in a state of relative freedom while they piss and moan about how evil we all are all the while throwing away said freedoms in socialist stupidity or kissing ass to the Muslim nazies out of fear masked as tolerance.
No system is perfect except God's.
But ours is the best on earth at this time. It takes all kinds far left and far right, as well as the various shades of middle to maintain the constantly shifting balance as intended by our founders.
Glen and I don't always agree but I'll stand beside him knee deep in blood if I must to ensure he has the right to speak.

P.S. Would be nice if we'd allow a musical post to remain so though ... EH Glen.

America is the best place on earth to be born. Unfortunately the tyrannical politicians and liberal judges are changing that.
And just what gives them the idea that they can take away my liberty when they were born with the same freedoms that I was born with? Crooked bastards every one. Tyrants of the first order. America is sliding down a mud hill like a California cliff dwelling in a deluge. Woe to America.

America is the sum of her people not her government or corporations.
We have been neck deep in sh*t before we awoke before.
And climbed the hell out.
We will do it again.
I fear it will again require blood for renewal of liberty.
As is often the case.

Why would I hate you Phil? I just wouldn't reuse sky lights they are bound to leak. I like you Phil, you are not some weak kneed little sniveling idiot. In fact ,you got SASS. You give me way too much credit for "running" other people out of here. Thanks anyway.

As far as STFU,,, I should have made that clearer that it was funny. Roar away Phil.

This is an International forum,,, COOL ,,,, when you come up with values that are against a majority of American beliefs and you push, or insult, or lie, you are going to get slapped down. Even as we speak Democratic congress people up for reelection are trying to separate themselves from the obama agenda because it was a different way of doing things and nothing got improved, now they can get F'ed just the way they try to F us.
As for mixing hot peppers with allspice.. what a waste of hot peppers.

Oh and of course I'm Irrational , maybe thats because I,m 5 steps ahead of where you're thinking and I may be the one that stops some government mandate from ripping you from the security of you home and protecting good families like yours from being abused by the powers that be.

You keep thinking it's joke ,Ha Ha. I'm glad you have such thick skin,,, I hope you never have to test against a bullet paid for with your tax dollars.

"They move to AMERICA. Thats how Europeans that want to succeed do it."

You seem to think that the only way to be a success in the world, to count at all, is to do it here.

WRONG, Glen.

Ppl make lots of money, achieve world-wide acclaim, develop themselves to the highest extremes, become HUGELY successful, all without ever stepping foot here, or being heard of here, or even caring about what the average American thinks of them.

America is NOT the be-all, end-all, of the world, Glen. We simply aren't all that, in the minds of many many ppl. It may amaze you to suggest that some other ppl are actually PROUD of their own countries. They LOVE where they live. To suggest that your country is the 'greatest' would offend them to their core, but that doesn't stop you, does it? You simply don't seem to give a damn about the feelings of others, sometimes. (A stereotypical American failing, by the way.)

Our bigotry; our feelings of entitlement; our oversensitivity; our prudish nature; our 'I, me, mine' attitude; our litigious citizenry; our crime statistics; all seem very laughable to others in the world. America, the country, & a good portion of its inhabitants, surely needs a HUGE lesson in humility, imho. I'm sick to death of all the breast-beating & the bravado & the "Don't Tread On Me" sh*t. Over the last 60 years, we have not progressed. We have REgressed in every area, save our military might. Our education is now among the worst in the industrialized world. Our controls over environmental issues vs corporate gains is among the worst in the world. Our gov't has become just as corrupt as any African nation's. Our military has been loosed for the first time in history in a preemptive strike against a nation that did nothing to us. We have become so full of ourselves that we think we can do no wrong, that our might makes right.

I am open to suggestions that will improve our lot. I want to explore other way of doing things, cuz what we've been doing in my lifetime seems so wrong.

With all of your bewailing, you would seem to agree that things need changing, but you won't listen to anyone's ideas. You can't improve anything without exploring other options, Glen. America is no longer what it once was. The only thing we have going for us at this point is our military strength, cuz just about everything else about us has turned to sh*t, including the way we treat each other. We need to open our minds, not close them, & we need to accept that we aren't the perfect model society that we once thought we were, before we can even begin to improve anything.

Geeze Phil these can't be words that you are writing. "America is no longer what it once was" For the most part it still is, the underlying beliefs in God and freedom and choice, leading to righteous self rule and determination of equal justice. NOT SOCIAL JUSTICE.
Our bigotry,,,, Without the stability and deep concern of Americans this world would be in a whole lot more hurt.
I thought you were a proud American but I guess you are starting to believe all the crap you are hearing.
Oh well.

A geographical oddity appreciated by like minded individuals on both sides of the Pacific and Atlantic from the shore of Asia to the west coast of Europe.

Going to Europe see you in couple weeks.

Not really, Glen. I'm believing what my eyes are telling me.

I see "zero tolerance" everywhere I look, for way too much. I see us turning into a fascist state. I see ppl, the media, even our go't rep's feeding the fear frenzy, which only serves to INCREASE gov'tal controls over more & more of our lives, causing higher & higher taxes to support it all. I see this irrational pride in the face of the wrongs that we've done, & are continuing to do on a daily basis. I see our country turning its back on its most basic tenets - things like going to war when we weren't wronged by the country in question, or the increasing invasion of our privacy, or putting the power of companies over the power of the populace, or the discount wholesale "free market" selling off our gov't rep's, our security, our privacy, & our jobs. I see us allowing companies to restrict our every action both on AND off the job. I see these things, & it makes me sick.

I'm thinking it may be time to move somewhere else, where I can be more free than I have ever been, & could ever be, here.

Now thats the Phill I know.

Forgive me if I have no fear to stand up to any breathing man that is wielding power in a manner upfront or behind my back or in any way that endangers my beliefs in God or right or wrong, or in any way diminishes the happiness that was granted to me by God ,,,,, Not by my fellow human beings.

Our country may not be perfect, yes we have made immoral mistakes, yes we will continue to make mistakes.... But this is still the one country in the world that was founded because of love of God.

Well, it was founded for PROFIT actually.

But many of it's settlers, came here, seeking religious freedom. So it was POPULATED and BUILT BY, people who believed in God. As most colonists, and then early Americans did. :-D

You for real Glen? You think that that WE come here to make ourselves? I mean in an Image of America? Are you kidding?

I don't have any boundaries, color/creed/habit/faith.
There's a tangent wheel if you want it? Please let me know, though it will take time getting it to you ok bro?
Please keep well Glen, take a trip to Europe and meet people please.

Dunno what it is, with that human condition? Peeps dying all over the planet, and you are worried about what folks do in Europe? Some places are much better than here Glen. Thats a fact, deal with it. I saw my first and only Nuclear Bunker today, always asked where a list of locations were. No one seems to know?

Right I'm off to hang from the nearest ceiling fan. Much fun to be had and its cheaper than a fair ride.
Good night.
