Last night i happened to be home with little to do and caught that Rush Documentary.

I recomend it to anyone as the way a band should go about their business. Most documentarys are about drugs women and all the gory details. It was refreshing to see one that focused on the music. Gene Simmons even comments I dont know what those guys did on the road. Theres women everywhere and they are in their rooms watching tv or reading books.

Another interesting part was when they talked about the Hemispheres album and they all say that the music at the time was over their head and after that they went in a simpler direction.

Once again if you havent seen it you should check it out!

I saw it and its awesome! In fact I have watched it twice in the last few months!

Its a different kind of documentary.

But it covers their whole career, with a lot of musicans chiming in.

Sebastion Bach says there arent many bands that would get me as a 12 yr old to read Ayn Rands "FountainHead". I think I was about 18 when I read it because Peart said some of the music was influenced by it.

That's fine. I watch a lot of documentaries anyway. Being a writer, I love listening to how books inspired certain songs and so on.

I've never read Ayn Rand. I had never heard of her until my favorite jackass Terry Goodkind mentioned enjoying her work. So I added her to my ever overflowing "To Be Read" pile. When I was 14 I was reading all of Tolkien's works. At 12, I was too busy raiding my mom's naughty novels. Ha ha.

I noticed the Rush Doc. is available on Netflix. You might have to order it as a disk right now. However I found it under new releases. I caught the whole thing on Palladium. Awesome. Must see for all rock fans!

Music should be about music. Not the bullshit trimmings. Bullshit trimmings is why we have so many wanabe whom don't know how to work for what they want.

Of the three only one is real to a musician.

The rest are trimming.

Too many are lost to the trimmings.

Does barbecue, fishing, and disc golf count as trimmings?

Sad to say, if it werent for the trimmings I probably wouldnt be playing rock n roll!
