I was 6 and hanging from a tree in the front yard. Mom told me. He was my favorite. Mom had promised me we would see him when he came back to Roanoke.
I was a kid, and saw all the adults watching the news intensely, and then I realized what they were watching. It upset me greatly. Elvis was one of my favorite performers.
