Oh I wouldn't ever sell a guitar I PLAYED for full price.

They suffer the tortures of the dammed in my hands.

I wouldn't throw it to the wolves for 2-300$ either though.

That's the issue, these days. Either they think it's golden and it must be 1000000% of the original price or it's damn near free.

I'd rather set it up to BURN brightly during a show or something equally memorable/worthwhile.

Without a doubt - my American made Stratocaster Lone Star model.

Has more heft than I'm used to in a strat, and the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickup crosses the line in a way that makes me not regret having a Paul. The two SRV strat pickups are nice too.

but it's the maple neck and overall feel coupled with that sound that make me love it. I went with a pal yesterday who wanted one to check it out and now there are at least three Lonestar lovers. (my brother bought one too).

if you like strats - this model is worth a look. Can't speak to the new models that I think are made in Mex - not sure what the differences are.

For bass the best I've ever played is in the Ampeg violin neck in my pic.

Oh - and butterpecan...

For me its my 1989 Les Paul 1960 Reissue Classic.

It just sounds like I want it to without any effort, and I love the slim neck. Plus I think it looks cool as sh*t!

I'd have to say the Ibanez RG1570 just because of the pure comfort and playability.

Gibson ES 339's are nice. I love semi hollow bodies and I like the smaller structure of the 339, compared to the 335.
