Why yes I do!

On my profile, thanks to Paul for fixing the vid, & SParadox for telling me how to put it up there.

I am obviously not a self-contained unit...I need ALL the help I can get!

Very unique. Never seen anybody play music with a hookah.

Actually, sans the instrument Rusty is playing is called a "Kamel N'goni" (don't EVEN ask me to pronounce that - it's a 12-String West African Harp). It's a big, round, thick gourd (calabash?) attached to a neck & a bridge, with 12 steel & bronze strings.

kewl! I must say tho, that's not an instrument that should be played between the legs. Looks a little, um... never mind.

I encourage you to wear the little hat and colored glasses next time to go along with the shirt.

Kudos for stepping out into the unknown but that uhh... 'song' irritated me. No harmonic changes to my earholes.
Guess I'm just an uncouth westerner.

Show your mom the letter. I would guess that it is probably nothing to worry about but you want to be sure she has the ability to look it over and see if you need to take any kind of action on it. I know that is not what you want to hear, but tell her anyway.

SP - yes, they're tuning keys, & yes, it kept going out of tune. It looks kinda like a homemade cigar box guitar, in person.

Zip - this daishiki didn't come with the lil pill-box hat, though I've had them before with others.

Shatya - I have no idea what you're saying to me. Did you get your Spanish question sorted out yet?

Don't fear the didge, sans.

It's easy to tell if strings are in tune...use a frikken TUNER! He did, but the nature of this beast is rather shaky, I fear. It should have been retuned after every tune, imho.

I have more vids, but they just show how out of tune it can get, so I haven't (& won't) post them.

So it plays in a standard tuning?

Is that not odd for a "traditional" instrument ??

No, sans, not a standard tuning. Pentatonic scale - C, D, E, G, A, C, for example, if it's tuned to the C major pentatonic, or F, G, A, C, D, F, in F major. Ya gotta use a chromatic tuner, of course.
