They're good, but I don't see the sharks...

We tried a few shark designs, but it just wasn't working out without them looking like JAWS shirts. So we ditched the idea for now. The Lion is a widespread Rastafarian symbol that is synonymous with Reggae music as well.

At some point we'll do the shark thing, but so far we're finding it to be a big pain in the azz to do. It's a farking fish!!

The first design with the Lion is awesome.

If you don't mind me saying, the tree design reminds me of Old Navy T-Shirts.

"In Rastafari, "The Lion of Judah" represents Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, crowned November 2, 1930 with the titles King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Elect of God and Power of the Trinity. Rastas hold that Selassie is a direct descendant of the Israelite Tribe of Judah through the lineage of King David and Solomon, and that he is also the Lion of Judah mentioned in the Book of Revelation"

I gave a lot of research to do, obviously, Shredd. Rastafari seems to be strictly a religion restricted to that island, from the little I know of it, yet its roots evidently go much farther back than that...& marijuana comes from asia...& I don't quite get the connection of the herb & the symbolisms & the jargon...

There's so little I know about it, & so many prejudicial ideas about it for much of my life, through the misinformation I've gotten over the years, from the media, mostly.

Are you a convert? You seem to know a lot about it.

I like the designs, but I see the Old Navy reference, too.

Have you thought about doing Hawaiian tee-shirts, since most of the members are Hawaiian? You could do some VERY cool shirts, man! Include one with some CD's & up the cost. like, $20.

I wouldn't say I'm necessarily a convert. But I have to study these things to keep in line with the music and genre of the profession I'm in right now. If I don't take the time to learn these things, my songs won't have any impact on people who are avid Reggae fans. So far, I've received some great reviews from Rastas concerning my songs. Although I really don't speak with an authentic Jamaican tongue or patois , it's the message of the songs that are being heard and that I generally get comments about.

Rastafarians still hold Christian based values and do read the Bible. However, as with any religious sect, have different interpretations of accounts within it.

Hawaiian shirts will most likely never happen. To a lot of Hawaiin people it's a cheesy tourist thing anymore.

Man, there ain't nothing cooler than hearing your stuff on the radio!

I had a lil jam with an ols band played on NPR for awhile, intro'ing some talk show. I thought that was one of the highest highs, even if it was only that lil thing.
