To tell you the truth Sans, only time will tell how good the Anti-Virus is. I don't know a whole lot about the different brands. But this one is the only one that got past the viruses to install. So, so far it's Webroot-1, the others-0.

I've been heard that NOD32 is supposed to be the shiznit, but... I'm gonna have to seriously consider your personal experience.
Thats worth more than web site reviews.

For years I used to use Norton anti-virus, but the nag pop ups are as bad as some of the spyware it’s supposed to protect against and for such a utility program, uses more than it should in memory. Kaspersky is giving me a discount for renewing, I have that with the Zone Alarm firewall package. The one feature I love the most about the Kaspersky, is if I’m not surfing and want the most resources for my DAW, one click and it’s unloaded. Simply gone.

No: “Are you sure you want to close this program?”, with residual processes even after exiting. Or the: “You aren’t completely protected until you purchase the new and/or improved email scanner”, which should have been included in the original purchase, but they can make more money out of making it an accessory.

I haven’t renewed yet, so I’ll be checking out the webroot and NOD32 before I do. Sorry for the trouble it put you guys through, but thankful for you guys posting the results and solutions.

Same thing for me Shredd. Just when I thought it was safe again, these damn phony Windows imposters have come in full force again.

I'm using Windows on a 50/50 basis at the moment. Its a love hate relationship. I always however, consider myself home when booting to the Linux partition.
Hope you get your troubles sorted. Same thing happened to a couple of friends I know today,
