I hate to turn down an opportunity to play.
Especially when the offer comes from a BandMix friend whom has been so supportive of the boyz and I.
Just no way our vocalist can do a show on consecutive days.

Singers are the original prima donnas. The singer in The Farleys won't do two shows in a row either. If I do two in a row I'll be on the couch on Sunday.

Yeah, jimmy, it's true. I used to do 4-5 shows a week, in my 30's & 40's. I'm WAY out of shape for that sh*t, these days, but even then it would wipe me out, & the wife never understood how draining it all is.

Tracy is my friend " Faithin " from BandMix.

She asked us to do a show at her Church on the 3rd but were booked for the fourth.

Ray's no prima donna, but the vocal style he uses on the hard core songs is hard on his voice.
Yes, he could probably do back to back shows with more practice. And to be fair to him, he is working on his vocal skills with some coaching. He and Tony both are showing improvements from these studies.

Being working stiffs of various locations and schedules, we're lucky to make the once a week we get to now.

Turns out one of the Members of the Lewis Family Band whom we've done our last two shows with lives 1/4 mile up the same county road from me.
And is married to one of my childhood friends mother.

He showed up at our practice last Thursday to tell us to "Turn it down"
We all had a good laugh about it.

He asked you to turn it down? Haha! You should give him some cottonballs to put over his earplugs.

With proper technique, he should be able to do multiple shows in a row.

When I listen to my fiance do AC/DC, I have no idea how she does it. But she can do that all day long... she has killer technique.

If you are a pro singer sure you should be able to do a bunch of shows. But I think in Sans situation the guys all have familys regular jobs and they do it for the love of it.

Last year I did a series of acoustic gigs, and I can say that 2-3 nights in a row is rough vocally. Gave me a new appreciation for folks that can sing every night. I tend to push too hard on some things and it does mess my voice up.

Yes, you guys know we are a bunch of amateurs.
Ray started singing the same time I picked up the guitar with any real intent on playing it for real. That was 2005.
Our bassist Eric, is the only one of us with any real world experience.

My GF uses something similar. Might even be the same stuff.

If they say they "can't," what they usually REALLY mean is that they don't WANT to, I suspect.

I'm singing 2 shows this Friday; a solo one in the afternoon, and a group performance within 2 hours . . . I'll only sing 3-4 songs each performance, though.
I'll be playing guitar outside in the humidity for about 4 hours, though. And - whith the stuff I play, I suspect I'll have some skin hanging off my fingetips by 9pm . . .
Been like 90% humidity here in CT for several days now . . . I much prefer playing in dryer weather. But I love summer gigs . . .

It was okay Sans. Matter of fact, you didn't turn me down, God shut the door, for HE knew who HE wanted to lead our Worship on that particular day and HE sent them our way, it was truely amazing how it worked out. My Pastor called a near by worship team, yet they were out of town, so the lady that answered the phone, said she had just had a dream that someone was going to call and ask about a worship team, next thing she knew she was coming to Tyler, to play for us. Totally God my friend, so don't be hard on yourself. God knew exactly what HE was doing.
