You too Phil. My daughter sent me Devo's new CD "Something For Everyone", and I'm going to see Jeff Beck tonight. Doesn't get better than that.

My ex sends "Mothers day" cards to me. I don't think that's very nice. :) :)

That's just too funny, Slacker! Sorry, man, but that cracks me up!

I just sent my son a text saying the same thing I started this thread with. I wonder if he'll respond...

I'd like to see the little guy today, but I'm sure I'll be seeing enough of him over the next 3-4 days. Ian's decided to go to the hospital, too, to help make sure Jace doesn't yank the pressure gauge out of his headbone. Still, it'd be nice to see him able to run around & stuff, today, since he won't be able to be as active for the next few days.

I called the Ronald McDonald house to see if we could get in there, since they'll only let one person stay in the room with Jace at a time, overnight, but there's a waiting list. Still, they tell me that there's motels that work with them to give cheaper rooms for parents when kids are under the knife. That's what we used the last time he was operated on, cuz there wasn't room then, either.

I dunno if ppl realize how big a blessing it is to have that, when it's needed.

Just got the call, & yes, we'll be in the RM house tomorrow night. Jace's op is at 6 AM Tuesday morning. Wish us luck!

I'll keep y'all posted as well as I can over the next cpl days.

Don't believe in luck. But I'll say a prayer for a good outcome.

There is a RM house walking distance from me. I did a Christmas gig there with one of my students. The Children's hospital is just in front of it.
Hope all goes well for you and your family. Happy Father's Day.

I played solo at a RM house a couple of years ago. There is a local guy who volunteers here. He books weekly performers.

And step dads! (and all father figures)

:-)

Personally, I had not only the BEST Father's Day I ever had, but... It was also the best day of MY LIFE!!! I'll get around to sharing all that happened one of these days, but suffice it to say.... THANK YOU! To any and everyone that was praying for me (and my family) or sending good thoughts my way!

It's a new day!

God is AMAZING!!!
