Actually, that's a Panama. Cubans don't wear them.

Again that is your opinion. I have a brother that was born in Guantonamo and I lived there for 3 years. They wear them there toooo.

All the songs on my profile, I wrote except Turn Around.
I challenge you to write a better Country song. Let the forum be the judge. After all anybody can do it. Right?

Never been to Cuba, but I lived in Miami for 20 years. Never saw a Cubano wearing a Panama hat, or a sombrero, for that matter.

Do keep the insults coming though. Considering the source, I shall wear them as a badge of honor.

I actually like your stuff man. I don't believe that I could write a better Country song than you. I don't write Country.

Time for your Victory Dance?

This source has been there and you haven't.

Your back stepping from my challenge is a smart move, but doesn't take away from what started this. Without song writers and I mean good song writers the world would be a more boring and bland place. Also players would have half as much material to pick from.

Think how many songs would not exist.
Your statement was pretty stupid.

I thought we were talking about music. How did we get to turtle cuisine?

Much to the shagrin of some here. These conversations usually evolve into other topics or issues. By the way I have lived in Perrine Fla. too many years ago. Have no idea what it's like now.

We lived in Perrine in the 80's as well. It's still a dump. :D

You still owe all the writers here an apology.

Apology? Not bloody likely. A clarification, perhaps, will sooth the ruffled artistic feathers of the writers here.

My statement was:

“Anybody can write songs. It's not rocket science.”

Please note: I didn't say “Anybody can write great songs”; or “Anybody can write #1 hit songs”, or “Anybody can write songs that will become classics”. If I had, your argument would have some validity. I was merely trying to point out that there is no arcane secret knowledge required to write songs. A little innate talent, a lot of hard work, re-writes, and several years of doing it is within the reach of most musically inclined people.

For that innocent statement, I was called everything from a moron to a douche-bag. Even my poor Panama hat was not immune from your verbal wrath.

Even after I complimented your music, you called my largesse “back-stepping”. Classy response.

If any apology is forthcoming, it should come from Joseph and yourself.

You made a blanket statement and you are still a bagger.
