General Music Chat

I took my son to see Psychedelic Furs last night, my fifth time seeing them. A band called She Wants Revenge opened, I was shocked how many of their fans were there. They were OK, sounding like Interpol/Pet Shop Boys for lack of someone else to compare them to. For being from LA they tried to sound English, and the music was boring to me. But the Furs were awesome; only the sax player and Richard and Tim Butler remain from the original band. But the sax player blew me away no pun intended. He could go from the lowest notes to the most piercing high notes in a flash. Richard is still one of the best front men left from the old days, up there with Bowie, Ferry or Cy Curnin (The Fixx). Go see them if they come to town.

Cool. I haven't seen them since what...1980? They were a good live act. I really liked them.

I didn't even know they were still around. Killer!
