Does that even bother me? I'm not sure much of my court is out in recess on this whole thing really. If you are a personality and known for the type of work you create then its much easier.
I don't think its so much as copyrights, people downloading and copying I think it has much more to do with your style and image to be completely frank.
Recently I've come across people that have bundles of talent, image and style but they are at a loss with what to do with it. Networking and getting the word out about YOU is the real deal, it always will be too. You only get out of something what you put in comes to mind also so you could write a symphony but if you didn't show it to anyone?
Someone said to me recently after quizzing them about their artwork and asking if I could use the idea.... They replied that I would always put myself in there rather than copy and this is completely true too.
"Not as good as the original" Come to mind here.
On the physical note of is music worth anything? Yeah sure it is. I'm working my butt off to create something and while scoffers might think what I'm doing is false because I cannot be 5 people if the music stands up then 4 will join.
I have 100% faith in myself. It's daunting to some, I don't feel daunted unless something I want to pull from the air just isn't there at the precise moment I need it. No matter, yes people will steal but it will not be real.
My 500th cents on the issue.
