Got one, said it was "hand typed and not spam", I mailed him back and told him hand typed or not it's still spam, go spam someone else.

He was decent about it, replied with something like sorry to bother you and good luck, nothing wrong with that. So no ill will here. I just don't like spam...

Mine went into the trash. If someone actually listened to my material, and pointed out what they liked or why they were interested, then that wouldn't be considered spam, at least to me. The sign up or join my site spam is like all the other gazillions of sites out there that just want free material to attract page hits to lure advertisers, in my book. Rather like the equivalent of adding friends to your music page.

I guess you could walk into a high class restaurant some day and say "Give me a steak dinner" I have almost million friends on myspace.

Just have your mom post your living room videos that she takes for grandma to watch. Now that works. Just ask Justin Beiber. I saw him on Sat night live. All I could think during every minute he was on camera was "WHY?????"

But then, I'm a cynic. I don't trust any new talent that doesn't come from the Disney Future Star assembly line.

I understand your concern. I just am trying a new concept. The record business is not what it used to be, as you probably know. Apologies if you still think I am trying to scam someone. Like I said before, that's not me or what I believe in. I posted a community artical on my site, "The Plan" if you want to give it a look.

Slacker G- I do listen to your (and other's) music. That's why I sent the messages to specific people. BTW- I do not get paid bt advertisers. they just muck up a nice web site. I actually pay to have a link page set up, so we are search engine friendly.

If there really are mods on here, they do nothing at all so it would probably be worthless to send a request. What company do you get the contract with? How many plays do I have to get to win a contract? Over 100,000? That's quite a few plays!

I'll watch from afar and see where it's taking people. I'm very watchful due to all of the ways I was screwed over in the past by countless scams.

Sorry. I just presumed it was spammed to everyone. When I get offers like that I just assume no one has listened and that they're just looking for anything out there.

At least the last offer said "We listened to your music and blah blah blah blah blah we would like to join our blah blah blah blah blah." .... Delete

Now don't get me wrong. The blah blah blah blah blah is my mind wandering off somewhere while I read those offers. That is how I actually do read them Has something to do with being scatter brained. I think that is what they used to call us before they made up ADHD so we wouldn't find out that they thought that we were idiots........ or whatever So many con men out there.

You'll have to forgive us here, we are inundated with scumbags who are trying to get us to do anything they can from cell phones to musical equipment and more than half of them are international from out of the way places like TURKEY and INDIA.

So if we seem a little hostile and non-trusting, it's because you are # 1000 of the people that have already tried to climb Mt. Bandmix in the dead of winter and we definitely have our guard up at this juncture.

I completely understand. Been 'almost' trapped in pretty unbelievable scams. I will have to tell you about the time I was attempted to be abducted in China. No, seriously.
(Of coarse, my story gets more colorful as the years pass.)

Hi RythmMan- MHR is a new site, so we just started out. The 33 cent concept is to get new artists going. Our study showed the price point of 3/$1 is what the market is most apt to pay to try a new brand or new artist.
(Well, they want it for free, but that is really not fair to the hard work and talent the artist pours into every song...)
I mention that we will jump a seasoned artist to the 99/song level, they just need to request it.
I will get with my programmer, and try to make that more clear. Right now one would have to click "How this site works" to find it. Thanks for the feedback. It really helps.
I wish some of you would start a forum on my site. I actually read them, and listen.
