Just got this little beast in trade. Original owner decided he wanted to keep the enclosure for his new setup. I figured it was an opportunity to build a better (not mdf board) enclosure. I think it turned out pretty nice although I'll probably redo the speaker grille.

what do you think?

Cool. I love the look and feel of real wood cabinetry.
Always wanted to build a home from nothing but 2x12s.
Seems so odd he wanted to keep just the cab.
Bet somebody takes a screwin online buying a Deville.

right on sans...
I was going to stain it but I love the natural color... probably just do some lemon oil to help preserve it.

I thought it was odd he wanted to keep the cab too... but he had it at his place when I tried the deville out... he had put 4 jensen 10" speakers in it and had a orange tiny terror on top... not a bad setup at all.

I thought for sure someone would ask why I hadn't dove tailed it... no router.
just a chopsaw and a jigsaw and a drill.

That's pretty damn cool Mike! Looks like you rounded the corners really nice, but without a router you must have done it by hand. Nice work!

thanks metald...
they're actually just broken not quite rounded... more like an 1/8 round.

gonna have to work on getting a router... it's really the best tool to have.
you can do straight edges, arched cuts... just about anything with a router!
