It's called "I think I love you". It was written by my wife's uncle, Jorge Medina. He is around 60. He was born in Mexico and is a very talented guitarist singer songwriter. He's also a kind, wonderful person! I performed and recorded all parts. 3 piece stand up drum kit, fretless peavey bass, peavey T-60 guitar leads through an ampeg guitar amp, wurlitzer electric piano through the same ampeg amp, keyboard organ, 3 vocals. Recorded on my fostex VF160EX and mixed and edited on my computer using audacity.

As always looking to share and get reviews. :D

Not my cup 'o tea, but I do dig your recording quality man. I have got to figure out a way to record something that sounds at least that good...

Sweet tune. Seems missing some mids and bass.
Not " tinny " per say just a little bright.

I like it too Paul. Your vocals are always pimp. The style reminds me of a band here called Black Camaro. The guitar player is the guy who produced and engineered our cd.

Man if you were in Vegas, you could be in a pretty cool band with these guys. They're looking for a Bass player.

Check these guys out, they do some really interesting stuff.

Thanks Glen, the guitar work was obsessive take after take on each phrase. It was about 15 takes per phrase THREE SESSIONS!! I'd go 6 - 15 takes on a phrase until I liked it , move on, repeat until the song was done. When I listened back I'd go start over. It was 3 days of that. Everything else was relatively easy for me.

If I am ever in the audience when you are playin' this you gotta call me up on stage. I especially like the triplets that you play at around 2:07. If you listen to my version of Coffee Break, you'll hear triplets. Now Neander, I liked this song before hearing the triplets but they become the magnet to the piece and keeps the listener attached to the song to the end...if that makes any sense.

Mary, I think about throwing you a track often. Something where you could SHINE! Something that gives you room to breathe! It will happen! Thanks for listening. And it does make sense.

Yeah, I can hear the Santana influence in this one, from the chord structure through the guitar & keyboard tones & on to the vocals.

Good song, Paul. A bit of a throwback, once again, but good, just the same.

A good band could ride this groove for quite awhile. I enjoyed that. Thanks for posting it. Sorry it took so long to respond, but I've had my headbone stuck in other areas, lately. I should get back to the music, I think. Thanks for the reminder.

Yep nicely done Paul. I'd like to hear it recorded with a good drummer and bass player but it's a great demo. Rock on!
