You know Alan,
Most discussion venues, whether online or even on the radio, have an "anything goes" thread, or on radio, it would be an anything goes "day" of the week.
The point is, that most vehicles for discussions, recognize that people need a venue for talking about "anything else".
Here on Bandmix, the "General Chat" section suffices.
You don't even participate here, except to get attention for your own musical endeavors. This makes it especially lame of you, to try and restrict the free speech of others (it should be a cardinal sin, in the first place, for
ANY musician, to restrict free speech)
As mentioned many times before.... you want more musical threads, then START SOME of your own, and stop bitching at others!
Are your threads going down to fast, and it pisses you off, because you could always depend on this place being a graveyard, and your thread staying on the front page for 5 days minimum? There's a solution to that too... "BUMP" your own threads, if you need to, to get them back in the top again.
Why don't you stick to the American Section?
Why don't you stay out of the threads you don't like
PERSONALLY?
There are MANY options, more preferable to your trying to be a discussion nazi, and decide what is appropriate for OTHERS to discuss or not.
You should be ashamed to call yourself a songwriter, while being an enemy of free speech.
Do you write original music, only about.... music itself, too?
Or are you a hypocrite, and write about non-musical topics too?
