Bwa! Ha! Ha! you know how much pride cops have. I bet he had to really had to swallow his pride on this one. It sounds like they found something to arrest this poor innocent guy just trying to get to rehearsal "Yeah he wouldn't obey a police officer Yeah thats the ticket"

lay on the ground face down and submit to my ultimate authority you lowly citizen... Thank God we have highly trained peace officers protecting us and showing the respect that a public servant should, and not just any mook that can pass an idiot test!

oops, I retract the earlier statement.

Hey, considering the news reports we get in this country lately, I hate to say it, but I can understand the cop's point of view, at keast to a point. A quick glance, to the uninitiated, could make a stand look like a weapon.

From that point on, though, the cop was prolly overreacting with the "on the ground" order. "On your knees" would have been better, in my opinion, but either way, the citizen has an obligation to follow the cop's directives. If he has objections, he should voice them once the situation is resolved, & take whatever actions he thinks necessary.

Cops are way different from the way they used to be, but so is the world around us. Yeah, this story makes the cop look like a fool, at the casual glance, but we need to know the entire story before passing judgement.

Did the muso get a lil testy with the cop? What was his car like - was it looking like a gypsy wagon? What were the things that built up to the arrest? There's not enough info for me to pass judgement on either party.

Had a cop approach me in town a few years ago.

Sir we had a report called in that you have a weapon in your vehicle.

Well, yes I do officer. And one on my hip too. So whats the problem?

The cop responds:
Stupid people, have a good day sir.

Sounds like the awsifer is ahead of his time. The way things r going in this country it won't be long that a mic stand in the possession of a citizen will be an illegal instrument of free speech.

That is a scary thought. Because things are headed in that direction. Heil Obummer.
