I have been looking for a Mesa 2x12 rectifier cab. for a little while. I ordered one from Sweetwater only for them to tell me they wouldn't have one available until late June. It turns out everyone is out of them. Anyway I had all but given up and was looking on CL last Wed and a guy was selling one about 10 miles from our house. So I went over and tried it and bought it for $400.00 it still had the tags on it HE NEVER USED IT! The new band I am in will be playing out at gigs in June so now I will be playing through a Mesa Mark IV Head into a Mesa Rectifier 2x12 cab and I am VERY stoked! I didn't want to have to lug around a 4x12 but that is what I was looking for when I found the 2x12 you talk about luck! No I am not worried about it being hot because the guy lived in a very nice house on the water and it was obvious they were doing well!

You came by it honest, who cares if it's hot!
It's as we say A deal is a deal !.
Me thinks my next purchase ( musically that is ) will be a TDH Hotplate.
I like the responsiveness I get out of my Nomad when it's cranked but it's so freakin loud I rarely get past 4.
I'm not sure but I think the bright on the clean channel will perform exorcisms set at 6

Thanks guy's, yes good things are happening I just wanted to post something positive with all the negatives that are going on in our country it seems like there are folks that want to divide the American population and pit American against American anyway remember I said something positive. A kickass band with a kickass amp life is good!
We are currently learning songs and when this band makes it's debut the setlist is going to be awesome! A lot of current songs and some really great 80's tunes. What I like about this band is they play for the audience and they are very hip more so than me! They are able to really pick songs that are a lot of fun to play and CURRENT!

Haley I wanted one of those cabs myself for a while and ran into the same problem.
I actually came across a Roadster 2X12 combo, but I still got my Triple and 4x12 in the trailer LOL, I use the roadster in my den for practice

Jw, I couldn't even find the Roadster Cab, it is basically the same thing same speakers same wattage. From what I could tell it is the same thing just built smaller to fit a different sized head.
I have heard that Mesa Boogie is not a real big co. and they produce their merchandise in large quantities and when they sell out it takes awhile before they mass produce those units for resupply. Especially when you have a bunch of old rockers wanting something that doesn't weigh as much so us old farts can move them around and that equates to a high demand!

Haley mine is the head and cab in one a combo amp. It sounds like mini halfstack, but with the sealed back it weighs almost as much a s a stack. I was practicing wiht a group a couple of years ago and we practiced in an upstairs loft. I have a Mesa Subway Rocket 20 watts 1x10 and had it in the shop at the time and made the mistake of taking my Roadster to rehearse. That thing was a bear to get up some 2 flights of stairs.
Im happy on your find and im sure you will make that puppy wail. Glad to hear your back out rocking again!
On a side note I almost bought a Mark IV off of ebay and somehow someone else got the amp before I bought the Roadster. Mark IVs are very hard to come by also.

Great deal.
Nothing says happy quite like new gear.
Nice to hear when someone makes out like that. I hope it works out for you on the band stand.

I have found I prefer the sound of a closed back cab. it has a tighter punchier bottom end sound. I have a Crate V32 combo amp that I just adore it sounds great and is lite but the bottom end is too spongy because of the open back. I will say that Mark IV head sounds better than anything I have ever played thru. It is a 3 channel amp. The clean channel just sounds phenomenal clean and bell like, that leaves me with 2 more channels one for that slightly distorted rythem sound and another for soaring leads. Woo Hoo!
Kruliosis, it is a tone shaping machine. It has a lot of knobs I got this one from a freind they can be very expensive if you can find one. They have been out of production but I saw some re-issues for around $3100.00 you can sometimes pick one up used for around $1200.00.

Peavey 6505+ head with either the 6505 4 x 12 cab, or a Crate Blue Voodoo 320 watt stereo cab (made by Ampeg and has switchable ohm selection). The Blue Voodoo cab's bottom end is like getting hit by a freakin' semi! This is that cab, but with my one Crate head and rack unit on it...the cab weighs twice what the Peavey cab does as well.

Holy crap, sweet rig! That's cool just showing your tuner pedal, most people display every stomp box they have.
