George, I am so happy for you guy's! Ya'll have come a long way in your search for perfection. This is the natural progression of a band and an honest one at that! Hang in there Brother I know great things are in store for Ya'll!

Yeah, we're all kinda jazzed about this one.
It's certain we have a lot of room to grow and improve.
But who'd ever thunk we'd got this far??

Great thanks go out to Pastor Paul at JOYSOUND in Longview Texas.
He was instrumental in our recording with his patience and kind guidance.
Looking forward to working with him again.

I think the guys working with Paul at JoySound helped to shine a light on some weakness we were not seeing / hearing on our own.
They are also undertaking some training.
As for my guitar ... well I'll just have to keep on practicing

Move "Redeemer" to the bottom of the list though.

It has some good idea, but the vocals are so flat, especially on the end notes of the chorus, that it almost makes it unlistenable. I'm sorry, and I wouldn't even mention it so strongly, but my step son was walking by when I was listening, and he is 14, and he just cringed, and said... "Who is that?" and I said... "Some friends from Bandmix" and he said... "They suck!"




But I said... "Hold on"

And I played "All that really matters"

And he said... "Oh, well, they're pretty good. I like that one."

Then I played the other two, and he liked those also.

"Redeemer" just needs some tweaking. The vocals go flat, and they need some more support. I like the idea of the stops and rhthyms, it is just the one song that is REALLY weak vocally, and it depends on vocals alot. I would recommend spending just a little more time on that one.

What you say may be based in truth, but Sans and his crew gets much street credit for being original/themselves/not a clone.

I think that gets the point across.

It's easy to want to be something or someone, it's more difficult to be yourself and not to imitate to the point of redundancy.

Only constructive criticism I can utter is that I thought the recording levels were a little high.

Like "ALL" cover bands that exist?

Ever hear a cover band do a version of a tune that isn't original to the recorded tune but is very good?

Note for note doesn't impress me at all.


Playing a tune, making it yours, staying with it when it gets out and adding to it correctly impress me sometimes more than original music.

That's a musician there, flexible, ability to adapt and overcome whatever is present because the music is really the only important variable.

Are the vocals on redeemer really that bad ??

Sure it needs work (very new and recently rearranged for the breaks).
I don't have much of an ear for vocals pitch unfortunately but I am learning.

Glad your step son at least like some of the songs, he is after all in the age group we generally target in our audience.

RM said that you can use a pitch tuner to localize you voice and ground it. This is true, I've done it. No you are not singer but that doesn't mean you cannot be a vocalist.

You are not playing on Broadway in any case, so what does it matter? It matters to you. Get a tuner and practice the notes, play a key and go get it. Before long peeps won't be digging at you about it and you'll feel far more comfortable too.

No you don't understand Chippy.

No one digs at Sans for vocals, because THERE ARE NO "Sans vocals".

He is not the singer for the band.

My advice was for their vocalist, not for sans.
