MY acoustic is a vintage Gibson Gospel. It's old enough to run for President, and I am the only owner. It is a loud guitar, so it can match my voice. The hard woods (maple back and sides, ebony neck, mahogany bridge) really ring. But it's showing a few signs of wear.

My bass is a Rickenbacker hollow body -- again vintage, one owner. Studio engineers love it, because they don't have to boost the bass on the board; it's in the instrument. After much time playing the Ricky, a Precision feels like a 2x4. The Fender Jazz bass is closer to the feel.

I have a Gibson Nighthawk for when I need to record an electric guitar part.

I play a Yamaha RGXA2, a Ibanez RG model and a JEM.

I really, really want a Les Paul Sunburst 1980's model, the discontinued one. I think thats the name anyway.

I've had many over the years. The one I'm glad I kept is 1980 Les Paul Heritage Standard 80 - faded cherry. I use it mostly for recording and special gigs. My work horse is a USA Roland Strat I use with the GR30.
For 60's Music I have a Gretsch Electromatic, and for jammin with people I have a Fender Squire Strat with all Fender hardware installed.
On both Strats I use EMG pickups.[/img]

Yeah I know it's a few days old, but thought I might drop my inventory in here too. Intended to a few days ago and got sidetracked. Sue me...

Fender Squier Strat, maple neck early 90's I think, I've played it since 95 or 96. Korean. It's the one I usually start every set with.
1984 Peavey Patriot maple neck, wish I had two...or three...
Cort CL-1500 made about 2000, if you spot one of these, don't think twice, grab it. Better sound than most hollow bodies and much less feedback problems. Really well built, gorgeous finish, plays great.
1966 Harmony Bobkat $2 yard sale find, all original except the knobs. Great for slide.
Washburn BT-2 probably the nicest neck I've seen in many years
Two tele copies, one no name one a Tom Armstrong counterfiet, the fake TA logo removed. Both set up for open tunings (G and D) and slide.
Electromuse lap steel 1945-47 gift from a close friend, works perfect and sounds great. Open G tuning.
Takamine EGS-330SC acoustic. Interesting story behind this one, found it in a pawn shop and wasn't sure if I really wanted it. Played it a couple times and the last time I noticed at least 10 people were in the store, including employees, and I didn't hear any background noise as I played it squatting on the floor. Stopped, looked up and everyone in the place was watching me...That made it a no brainer. If it sounded that good with old, rusty, dead strings, I wanted it. New set of Dean Markleys and I found out this guitar has more sustain than 90% of the acoustics I've ever played and a really nice full sound.

I'm currently looking around for wood to build a body around an Epiphone bolt on acoustic neck. The guitar is in rough shape, the repair would mean completely disassembling it. I'm not that proficient at guitar repair... I plan to build it with no knobs, just 2 humbuckers and a pickup switch, I play strictly volume pedal. Have everything but bridge, wood and pickguard now. Probably go without pickguard. It's a zero fret neck, a tad fat for me but plays really well, one fret shorter than LP scale. The zero fret makes a huge difference, as an acoustic I can make it play like my electrics.

I won't go into the full instrument list...

Lemme see...

1999 Ibanez Artist 250
late 80's- early 90's ESP LTD MB-200 w/Floyd Rose
FirstAct tele clone

and a Johnson Precision bass

Not the greatest collection (I'd have plenty of wall left if I hung em :D ), but combined they get me the sounds I want.

Amp wise, a Spider III 75HD head with an Ibanez 4x12 cab for the guitars, a Peavy MAX115 for bass.

Crude, yet effective hehe.

Well the only one left of my "collection" is my 1980 Heritage Les Paul Standard. Never had the heart to sell it. Don't bring it out either.
The guitars I use to play out are;
2001 American Roland ready Strat (I use the Gr-30). Loaded with EMG's
- the neck was replaced in 2001 by Fender Custom Shop. the Guitar is older
The other two are Frankensteins
A red Tele (made to look old) with Duncan Antiquities
A blue Strat (made to look like a '62) with EMG's

Alas, I sold many of my girls (used to work in a Music store. Kinda like an addict working in a Pharmacy)
Original reissue of the 52 Tele, 57 Strat and 62 Strat
Early (no dots) Gibson 335
2 additional Heritage 80's
Gibson LP Deluxe (Mini HB's)
Reverse Firebird (don't know the year) It was in a car accident and the store purchased the remains and rebuilt it.

I don't want to go into amplifiers - I'll kill myself if I think of all the amps I had.

Holy crap you need some Clorox to remove the mold from this thread.

Who are all these people anyway??

And does anyone really care what guitar(s) I play? I barely care myself.

Yeah! This thread is from 2007!

Does that make this the longest continuous thread now, other than Stickys?

LOL
