$4k is a lot of money.
I don't know if you have any banking or ecom experience, but 4k is enough to have you put on a SAR report.
SAR = Suspicious Activity Report
My bank was going to do that and I removed ALL monies from their account(s).
F U BANKERS, every single mfing one of you.
AND Bank of America might not have screwed you yet, but it's coming.
It's like my one buddy who took his guitar to DAVE PHILLIPS MUSIC AND SOUND. I told him of my experience and he went anyway.
Long story short, they screwed up his Gibson LP so bad he had to send it to someone else and had to take DPS+M to small claims court to recoup his cash..
Trust B OF A very little and watch them. The only scummier folks in these parts is WACHOVIA. They just beat someone I know for 800$, because she's a woman AND a dummy.
BTW oh yeah and refused to prosecute someone on camera removing $ from this woman's account account because the proposed perp had her pin number.
"They said it's not their problem".
Now you know if the person had been upstanding with tie + suit etc, the court case would be being filed as we speak.
