Saw it. 'Twas inspiring, far more so than that lame version of Stairway.

She nailed that song so well, & worked with Beck so well, that this performance will be the one by which I judge all others, save Screamin' Jay Hawkins!

It's rare that I'm so impressed.

I was blown away too!

It is the best performance of that song I have EVER witnessed!

I've always felt that Joss Stone was the real deal, but she just elevated that feeling hugely!!! She was looking really hot too, with the straight hair, and coloring... I didn't recognize her at first!

She blew Alicia Keys away (and I like Alicia Keys alot) but Alicia clearly had throat problems. I felt sorry for her. And to sing Empire State of Mind without Jay-Z there, was a BAD DECISION!!! I kept expecting him to pop out and start rapping with her, but then I would think "I can't believe he's gonna let himself be on Idol, and yet... she can't possibly be going to sing this whole thing alone... surely?"

But she did! :-(

What were they thinking????

On you tube there is a longer version of this song performed by the same two during a Jeff Beck concert of couple years ego.

I frequently visit the site and get mesmerized every time I play that video.

Another duet worth watching is Jeff Beck and Clapton playing at Crossroads 2009 "Because we ended as lovers" what is striking here is Clapton solo after Jeff's solo, I've been listening to Clapton for a long time but never heard him sounding better than this solo, you can tell by the facial expression of Clapton during Jeff's solo that he couldn't wait for his turn to rip into it.

Couldn't find the right video but this link ( the bottom one) provides the song with still images check it out if you are into this stuff.

Here is I put a spell on you Link.

Jeff Beck is like a great beer...very tasteful and goes great with anything (or anyone).

I'm geeked to see him June 20, even though I've seen him 10 times. No one can touch him.
